Talus is really close to Chanticleer Inn and Rock City Gardens. Pretty much the only thing that is not fair land club which you have to be a member or get access via a member. The food was good, we shared the Nachos. They have art on the walls from local artists and TVs with various games on. They have a restaurant side or a bar side with a pool table. They have basic beers and the staff was very nice and trying really hard to make us feel welcome. They seem to have a good takeout business going on also. They are redoing the dining area but promises to look great when complete. They do sidewalk cookouts on busy game weekends also.

Really great food and a great value. The atmosphere is very artsy, it is a gallery setting. I had the pot roast and my husband the filet mignon. Both were huge portions. Mine was very tender with lots of flavor, and the steak was well cooked and clearly an excellent cut of beef. Not from the area but would go back for sure if I come back.

There is a simple and relatively elegant American food menu which is pleasant, acceptably executed, and accompanied by a reasonable wine menu. The local art is nice and the decor is pleasant. It’s not a destination restaurant, but a solid and reliable choice if you’re on the mountain.

The cuisine is fantastic! Made, obviously, by gifted hands. I have eaten here four times and plan to continue. The staff is attentive and friendly. Go, and enjoy a amazing time at Talus! It’s worth the drive.

Talus is amazing!! A must see if you are out exploring lookout mountain. If you aren’t hungry, sit in the cozy upstairs area and sip on a glass of wine. The artwork is absolutely amazing!

Great little bistro. I had a great burger as we sat out front with our puppy. Service was great food was great. Only complaint is that they were out of a few items. But I highly recommend this place.
