The best taco I’ve had in Tallahassee!! The steak taco I had was phenomenal, and the Al Pastor was as well. They charge you for salsa, which I don’t particularly love, but I thought the steak taco was the best taco I’ve had in quite a while. Pretty good parking too.

I am not one to usually post reviews but Maria Maria deserves so much recognition and praise for the experience they offer! I have been coming here since 2020 and probably visit at minimum once a week often more! I have always been received with an extremely warm smile and a delicious plate warm and home-made. I often bring friends here as the food is delicious and the atmosphere is extremely inviting; perfect for long catch ups or needing a meal that feels like those from home after a long day! The entire team is extremely attentive to detail, service, experience, and one of the few places you develop a friendship with the managerial staff! As a Latina I am extremely picky when it comes to authentic Latin food in town and without a doubt Maria Maria stands tall amongst authenticity and family owned restaurants! Could probably go on and on about this restaurant and I can not recommend them more!!

I’ve visited this restaurant many times now over the past couple of years, and it literally never disappoints. I’ve tried numerous menu items, and loved all of them! My faves are anything with carnitas, but especially the sope. The staff are extremely helpful and pleasant, and the food is super delicious. Definitely one of my fave spots in town!

What a great place for traditional Mexican food. Great service, clean, and the food is excellent. Everything is made to order and has great flavor. We started with chips, salsa and guacamole then sampled a selection of enchiladas, tostadas, sope, and tacos. All were unique and fresh. Close to FSU.

I wish I had taken a photo before but this was quite possibly some of the greatest authentic Mexican food I’ve had in a while. Carne Asada tacos were so flavorful and the tostada was to die for! 5 stars!

What a great little find this was! We were on the road and planning to find a lunch spot in Tallahassee. We often default to Mexican and searched for a place with promising reviews. Maria Maria is what we chose to try. I was surprised, when we first walked in, to find it was an order-at-the-counter format with a flat-screen menu that took a few minutes to navigate. I took a chance on their Fajita Taco combo. My husband went for the Al Pastor combo. We were utterly delighted with our choices, which were brought to our table after a very short wait. My tacos were heavily loaded with tender and flavorful pieces of beef, perfectly cooked veggies, a generous dollop of sour cream and some excellent guacamole that I had ordered extra. My husband’s meal was equally satisfying– I can’t detail his platter much because I was so totally absorbed in my own. But I know he enjoyed it a lot!
