The waitress was super nice and did a great job even though she was very busy. The atmosphere is your basic diner setting. The food was fine overall but my chicken fried steak was under cooked and pink. In my opinion and past experiences chicken fried steak should be cooked through.

The food is decent and prices match diners in the area. I ordered breakfast food for dinner and asked to substitute the side for a lunch side. I was told that they can’t do that since I ordered a breakfast item and the side I wanted was off the lunch menu, but I could add the side ($4 more). I just don’t understand this. I would have paid the $1 difference in price of the sides but I didn’t need 2 different sides.

The menu shows the monticristo for 7.99 I ordered them for my family and was charged 11.99 each. They told me they are sorry and it’s not there problem. The mushrooms were warm and soggy. I dont recommend going here. Hopefully something better pops up

Wow! We stopped in on our way back home from Jeff City. Waitress was very friendly and attentive. Food was great! I’ve never seen gyro meat in breakfast dishes but I was all in! I got the gyro omelette and it was amazing. Hash browns were cooked perfectly. Lot of food for the drive home. We may have to take a day trip to try some of their lunch and dinner options because they sounded great and judging by their breakfast, we know it will be. We definitely recommend the Flame Diner!
