At our Kettering, OH location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Had no ice for drinks, forgot shrimp on my mother’s order. The employees couldn’t keep orders right and were having problems getting the food out. Couldn’t understand why the place was such a disaster until we left. Saw the bleached blonde girl and the African American cook sitting in her car smoking marijuana. We were parked 4 spots away from them, and I could smell it halfway across the parking lot. It’s no wonder the service was bad, along with everything else.

The worker rude and the manager has no business being in management. Would never give name. Hung up on us. Will be reporting to corporate and BBB. Got order wrong. Racist manager, more like a Karen. Didn’t go back to get what we paid for for fear of police being called and Karen lying saying she feared for her life. As a black woman im sick of being threatened by racist people working in the service industry! Tired of being guilty and having to prove innocent cause a white woman lies!h. My visit today was disappointing. Walking in my shoes stuck to the sticky floor, through the entire store. It took over 10 minutes to get our food. The tables were dirty and sticky, the chair I sat in was broke and almost fell through. While waiting on my loved one in the bathroom, I took a look up and was shocked by what I saw. Mold stained ceilings where something has leaked and not been fixed. The smell of the store was like a moldy dirty smell..(not a fish smell). Then while taking my loved one out to handicap parking , the shift manager was standing right outside the entrance, smoking a cigarette, which wasn’t an appropriate place. (She was also mean to a worker over an online order, (I could hear everything) and seemed to have an attitude the entire time I was there) If the front of this store is this dirty, I wonder how dirty the kitchen is. This store needs a serious deep cleaning.

This is the second time I’ve ordered pickup and didn’t get the extra okra I paid for. My husband even asked “is the extra okra in there?” and the worker said yes. It wasn’t. Also my green bean container was not even half full. So irritating to pay for an extra side and never get it.
