My friends and I went the Stockton Inn on Saturday. We haven’t been there since it reopened. What a difference – the place looked fabulous! We didn’t have a reservation so we had to wait for a table. We were seated in a pretty outcove and a sweet cocktail waitress got drinks for us – she gave us a tour of the murals too! Once we were seated we had a great dinner. Oysters, crab and watermelon salad, soup, scallops and striped bass – it was all amazing! Dessert was my favorite the Chocolate Peanut Butter Napoleon. I won’t wait so long to go back next time – WELL DONE STOCKTON!

Wow! Affordable fine dining with exquisite food and top notch service!! The food is phenomenal, I tried many of the signature dishes and they are all outstanding. My favorites are all of the salads, the oysters and lobster roll, the Chicken pot pie is to die for!! The owner and Chef even joined us for awhile to explain the food and recipes as well as the fascinating history of the inn. The wait staff is phenomenal, imagine never having to ask for anything because your waiter has already anticipated your every need. This is the place to go if you want to impress someone like a date or a business contact. The atmosphere is amazing, outside you can dine in the garden or near the waterfall, inside you are surrounded by amazing paintings and murals. I highly recommend this Inn for fine dining at a very reasonable price. Whatever you do, make sure you save room for their awesome desserts!!

When we lived in Bucks County the Stockton Inn was our favorite place for special occasions. We thought we would return after several years to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We arrived 15 minutes early for our reservations and waited 10 minutes for the hostess to come to her station. Although we saw plenty of vacant tables we were told ours wasn’t ready so we went to the bar. A half hour passed and we asked a server to check on our table. Five minutes later the hostess came to seat us. It was 10 more minutes before anyone came to our table to ask if we wanted anything from the bar. More time passed and we had to flag down a server to ask for some bread, which turned out to be a pair of biscuits that were not even to the level you can get at Red Lobster. I ordered the fois gras as an appetizer and while delicious, the portion was little larger than a matchbook. When our entrees finally came out they were very good but the overall experience was a bust, especially at the premium prices they charge. We told the server we were disappointed with the service and that he would not be receiving a full tip. He apologized and blamed it on inexperienced kitchen help. We do hope our beloved Stockton Inn can recapture its former glory but worry that it may not have time.

A great romantic setting, on the night we were there they had live music and char-broiled steaks. The steaks were cooked to perfection, they’re was a great wine list with reasonably priced choices and we had a great apple crisp with lemon cornbread topping. I highly recommend it!

I had my Wedding here two years ago and I’m still stung by the Event Coordinator, her attitude and actions on our Wedding Day. I’m not sure why, but she was INCREDIBLY pushy about wanting things her way and NOT caring about the bride. I’m talking about things like my husband walking down the isle with his mother, a mother son dance, formal introductions and table numbers, all things we didn’t want. It took three people to tell her this and to back off! I should of changed the location when she didn’t return my calls a month prior to the wedding and would not let us rehearse. She disappeared on our wedding day too and forgot about our miniature desserts also. The bartenders and wait staff were more than extremely accommodating and exceptional. Perhaps its good that The Stockton Inn is no longer doing weddings.

This is an historic Inn and rather expensive, so we were disappointed in several ways with the stay. First, the room was very warm when we arrived because the window AC was turned off. It was 90 degress outside and above 80 in the room. There was no hair dryer, the TV was from the 60’s (about the size of a computer screen), and when we went to check out at 9 am the next morning, the reception area was locked and our “good bye” consisted of leaving the key in a key drop.

Awesome historic location. Snooty foody type service and menu. Great old rooms. There is an old tavern style bar, a wishing well, and a fireplace. It’s not hard to end up spending more money than you thought you would.

Beautiful historic inn with lovely restaurant and bar. Very good appetizers and wine selection. Our bartender was really great. We’ll definitely return.

was the nastiest bartender I have ever met. when we asked her if we could sit outside and order a drink she said extremely nasty I be there when I get there. there were 5 people in the entire bar and she was more intrested in talking to the man who was sitting having dinner. was the worst experience I have ever had will never go back.
