I was greeted upon coming in and the man taking our order could tell we were new. He was friendly and offered to explain dishes and had a good attitude. The wait time was appropriate for food and there were people constantly coming in to order food. My husband and I were able to just buy cheap water bottles at the gas station (the restaurant is connected next to the gas station) to go with our meal. They had huge windows that gave a lot of natural light and I did not see a dirty table since they were constantly cleaning them as people came and went. I LOVED THE FOOD! Their portion is good enough to order one thing, but I had to try their pork belly and Papaya salad! Each dish came with sticky rice and you could pick your spice levels for the Lao style papaya salad. I got it hot and it was WELL DONE! Spicy enough to where I almost died when I choked on the pepper liquid. Pork belly was on the sweeter side but the amount of meat to fat portion on them were great as well. I am glad I was able to try this place out and I was recommended to this place by a missionary priest who, too, approved of this place.

I’m critical when it comes to a good bowl of pho. I’m Viet and grew up eating Pho every weekend. If I legitimately did not want to wait 8 hours to make my own pot I would actually come here for Pho. There are Viet restaurants in Waco area that can’t even make a bowl as good as this. The prices are a bit steep for a bowl but they make up for it with the bits of beef they put in it. I would have to say this is the best Pho in Waco but that’s not saying much since the bar is low.

For being in a podunk truck stop outside waco, tx, you can’t get any better laos food south of dallas or north of austin. A little over salted, but the sausage is homemade, the sauces are homemade, and I hope this place sticks around. Spring rolls are good.

An absolute hidden gem, easily the best Asian restaurant in the Waco area for me. Would definitely recommend. Hard to believe it’s inside a gas station. The quality of the food is much better than many Asian restaurants in better locations.

I would give this restaurant a 7 out of 10. I’ve tried the egg rolls, chicken fried rice, BBQ ribs with rice & egg, and the chicken spicy noodles with egg. I ordered my food with out cilantro- most of the items on the menu have cilantro. My favorite by far are the BBQ ribs! The flavors are mild, the spicy noodles weren’t too hot but you could definitely make them hotter if you’d like. Can’t wait to try more

Delicious veggie Pho and Lao iced tea. You get a Big bowl of soup. Hard to finish it all. Really good hot chili oil to drizzle in.
