Talk about BURGERS! I don’t think I’ve seen a more diverse burger menu. If you’re looking for a delicious one of a kind burger – this is it!! I ordered a burger with chili, mustard, and onion. It reminded me of Skyline Chili in Ohio – same flavor but instead of a hotdog it was on a burger. It was absolutely the best burger I had in the Myrtle Beach area. If you order onion rings with it be prepared for them to bring you ONE GIANT RING.

My family and I had such a great experience. The food is affordable buy delicious. Def the best burgers I’ve ate while visiting Myrtle Beach. Stephanie was our waitress she was so attentive and kind!! I will go back over and over from now till forever!!! My kids loved the free peanuts!! It’s very cheap compared to most places around here. Our first night in Myrtle Beach and we chose River City Cafe. We were so glad that we did. Now it was 745 pm on a Sunday night so we knew a long wait was going to be had so we were not surprised by the 1 hour wait time given. But we were pleasantly surprised when they texted 30 minutes later saying the table was ready. Aron was our server. He did a great job answering all of the questions we had. The food came out in a timely manner, prepared to order and presented well. These burgers were large and very delicious. Now the cheese fries did not live up to the bar that the burgers had set but still okay. They have a great variety of burgers. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Rainy day but there was seating inside when we went. Waitress was super friendly and attentive. Burgers were phenomenal. I highly recommend the pretzel bun. It elevated the entire dish to a higher level. Onion rings are huge. I only ate one and had no room for more. The breading was flavorful and the onion was great. I would recommend this place to any friend or relative. Keep up the great work. Enjoyed looking for my states’ license plate

This was our first outing in Myrtle Beach and it did not disappoint. It was busy but we were able to get seated within 10 mins. The food was good! We ordered the cheese curds for an appetizer which was a great start. We both ordered delicious burgers and the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because I’m burger bougie and like to taste seasoning on my burger. Otherwise I’d highly recommend stopping here!

Food is excellent. Seating is cool. Walkable from a lot of hotels. One of our favorites. Great with the kids. Servers are always friendly and never complain but do seem understaffed sometimes (not the servers’ fault but makes them stretched), so sometimes waits can be longer than expected if they get busy.

Walked to the restaurant from our hotel. We ate there because of the good reviews. We walked in and had a 5 minute wait. While waiting we checked out the funky atmosphere. Both me and my son loved it. The staff was friendly and as nice as they could be. It was crowded but we got seated and our order was taken right away. We order the blooming onion as a appetizer and we ordered burgers for our meal. I had the Texas BBQ burger and can’t remember what kind my son ordered. Both was off the chain!! Onion was hot and crispy and absolutely delicious. Loved it all. We will be comeback on our next visit. Oh and the prices were great for the food you get Especially at the beach.

The food here is sooooooo good. The best burgers ever. One star off as I know it is their thing to be a dive bar, but sitting at the bar waiting for a table, watching the kitchen- the staff were all great! The kitchen needs to be renovated and made more modern. Shelving is out of date. The cord (I am guessing) that goes to the attic looks like a big piece of dust hanging from the ceiling. The kitchen aesthetic was just off. The sticky floors and tables, etc. Not great, but River City lives off of being a dive. The plastic waste is ado so bad for the environment. But the burgers are so worth it so we will return each year we go to Myrtle.

$8 drink was nothing more than fruit punch. Very tasty fish dishes. Paper tableclothes that shred easily. Server was great in beginning, but went completely missing after dropping food off. Hostess was completely ignoring us when we wanted water and check. As we left, she kept her eyes on her phone; not even thanking us for coming or a simple, “Good-bye.”
