Ken Carson knocks it out of the park in regards to service and quality. You will not find better chicken ANYWHERE. My guests, who visited from all over the country, (family reunion of 65 people,) have never had better open pit cooked chicken in their lives. The macaroni and cheese was also the best catered of this dish any of them had encountered. Ken will go above and beyond to make sure your event goes smoothly, and his family business praises itself and the quality of food he puts in your table. This is not just a business to him, this is his livelihood, and the pride is in his product. If you have the opportunity to use his services, you will not be disappointed.

BEST BBQ in Bloomington! Deserves 5 stars due to the quality, taste, portions, and price. I have definitely come for dinner to discover they are closed for a private event/maintenance/etc. Small businesses got to make ends meet, so I get it but maybe call before you head over dine-in. This place is great! They have the BEST mozzarella sticks I have literally ever eaten!…not sure how they are able to make huge square mozzarella sticks, but they’re incredible!! The onions rings and coleslaw were dope too! The owners/staff are super friendly! The owner cooks smoked jackfruit for the veggie eaters if you call ahead a day…cannot WAIT yo try it! Also, if you’re next door at the Hoppy Wobbles Bar….they’ll bring your food right over! It’s perfect!

This rating is for the service and atmosphere only. Was looking forward to trying the food, but didn’t even make it that far due to the smart mouth and comments from the woman at the front within 30 seconds after walking in the door. Her name is Pam, and it sounds like I am not the only one to have been on the receiving end of her rude, condescending remarks. Due to her multiple cutting responses, we walked right back out the door.

The food is great, but please change your store hours on google, this is probably the third time I’ve either came here by myself or with group, essentially made plans to eat at your establishment and it’s been out of your time parameters on the paper, but not on google. I make my plans around set times, if your store has different hours for 6+ months it’s time to change the time on your google listing.

The brisket was okay, and they had really good sauce, but I had to leave a low rating since their pie made me get sick before I left. It had mold across the bottom of it. She said she checked for mold but didn’t check far enough which tells me mold is a normal issue.

I went there for the first time and I don’t think I will be going again. The food tasted a bit odd (kind of “fruity” flavor to it..) and I got really sick after eating half of it. I can eat a lot of “bad” food so I think something was really wrong with the BBQ.

RED FLAGS EVERYWHERE – STAY AWAY Starting with the Very Rude Older worker behind the counter. Absolutely no filter on this lady – super rude. We called several times to place an order ahead and no one picked up the phone. We get there thinking they must be really busy, not one order ahead of us. There were no customers anywhere. When we said something about calling ahead she rudely snapped saying “I can’t get to every call”. They had no customers and the place was a mess. This lady has no filter at all and it seemed as though she hated her job and it was a true bother to be waiting on us. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE, I’ve had in a long while. As for the food it was about as good as the service. If I could give it NO STARS I would. Seriously “STAY AWAY”
