To get to the charming restaurant, take a scenic route through a neighborhood road. It’s a popular local spot with a rustic atmosphere. When we arrived on a Tuesday before noon, the place was already bustling with people inside and out. As we enjoyed our meals, even more patrons arrived. For appetizers, we shared deliciously seasoned calamari and medium-sized shrimp. The crabs were served with a variety of dipping sauces including vinegar, melted butter, and Old Bay Spice. My colleagues were impressed with their freshness and meatiness. Unfortunately, the mussels we received were not fresh, so we requested to send them back. Although we did not ask for a replacement, we were already content with our meal. My friend and I also ordered a top-shelf margarita on the rocks. The cocktail was heavy on tequila, which I liked, but my friend did not. I asked for an additional mixer, which our courteous /friendly server immediately brought to our table. Overall, we enjoyed the food, place, and experience!

We drove 4 hours from Pittsburgh and would do it again. The crab dip was amazing! The crabs were also really good, the seasoning they use in the crabs is a perfect level of spice. They were very friendly to our 4 legged kiddos, bringing them out water numerous times.

This place has a great view if you choose to be seated outside. The crab is a bit small but enough for small eater like us. We had 3 main and 1 crab chowder. The crab cake is the most delicious and highly recommended as this comes with 2 side of your choice.

This place is awesome. We visited from the Eastern Shore by boat and it was so worth the trip. Busy atmosphere with a fast paced environment. We had a 20 minute wait on a Sunday evening. There was so much to see around their waterfront area. We visited sloughing tanks and checked out the waterfront scenery. We got our table in a timely matter. The menu was awesome. Everything you could imagine at a waterfront inn. Since we were in a boat we ordered lite fare and quick items. We got all that we ordered within 15 minutes and ordered food to go that arrived before we finished our dinner. Everything came perfect. We did not ask for or need anything but the check and to go boxes. Our waitress was so awesome. It’s been a long time since we had service like that. Thanks so much for an awesome dining experience. We can’t wait to return.

Slightly overrated, for me. The main pull is the crabs and unfortunately I’m hard to please. It doesn’t help that our server was terrible. She rarely checked on us, BUT the other servers were great. We ended up asking servers walking around to grab us napkins and refill our drinks, which they were very nice about.

Took a mini road trip out to Annapolis, MD and came across this seafood place. Known to have some of the freshest seafood, you can see why with their own docks and catches. Very old school shack feeling, this place feels like it’s been here forever. Arriving shortly after opening at 11, they filled up pretty quickly. After seeing that you know it had to be that good.

This place was recommended to us by some folks working at BWI and she was right it is really good food! We started with the crab dip. If you have never been to this region of the US and like crab you should try crab dip and here it is great and served with warm freshly baked baguettes. We also had some hush puppies that are amazingly delicious as well. The fried clam strips knocked it out of the park and the crabmeat fish tacos were also a hit. The prices are quite reasonable for this quality and quantity of seafood. Don’t be intimidated if the parking lot is full because there as a lot of tables to seat people. We went in thinking it would be full and we would have to wait but we were seated immediately. Karen was our hostess and was great the whole night!

Cantler’s is a delightful place to taste Annapolis like a local with fresh crab of all kinds while taking in the ambiance of the waterfront. It’s also a pillar of the local community — I first at here 30 years ago! While they have too many delicious offerings to list, I most highly recommend the cream of crab soup, the crab cakes, and the hush puppies. All of these are quite addictive! Enjoy!

Probably 3.5 stars – this place has been here forever. At least 40 years+. Used to be a great local place for seafood but now it is pretty popular so it is getting pricey and difficult to find a table at times. The soft shell crabs are pretty good since they have their own. The Crab cake sandwich s not bad. Other seafoods are fine but nothing spectacular. Extra large crabs goes for $150 and large is $100 /12 .. You do get a water view if you sit outside.
