Went here around noon on 1/9/22 to pick up online orders. Stood and waited for 20 minutes to get my chips and queso order. We also watched the workers “Bob” (mix) in-person customers’ burritos before wrapping them. But they skipped this for online orders. No one likes eating straight rice, then all beans, then all meat, etc (see photos). This location used to be alright but the speed, friendliness, quality and freshness has really gone downhill. Probably won’t be back here.

I have always been a fan of Pancheros, food was pretty good. The day we were in the restaurant was very warm, several of the drink options were out and the tables had not been wiped down. I am still a fan just hoping my next visit will be better.

I’ve come to the Ankeny location for years and it’s always been good until recently. Been twice in the last month or so and both times the foods been old, very dry and just overall lacking quality. The guys behind the counter walk away while making food and yell to each other across the restaurant, swearing and laughing. Floors and tables were covered in food. I’m not one to ever write bad reviews but it’s a shame to see how downhill this place has gone.

I eat here quite often, but haven’t been here in a couple months. Bunch of what looked like teenagers working. Uneven portions between guests & slow. Guy before me asked for guac, got a spoonful, I get 1/2 a scoop & told more was extra. Really?? I’ll be back in a few months as im sure they’ll be gone!! 1st bad experience I’ve had here.

Whoever owns this establishment might want to check in on it . Overflowing trash cans, disgusting floors and tables, no ice in ice machine, water all over the floor. There were 6 people behind the counter, and a line out the door at 1:30 on a Sunday and it took over 10min from start of order to checkout. The food prep area was disgusting. Also bathrooms were . It won’t let me give zero stars…

We order from pancheros and had issues with the Ingersoll location so we went to this location and it was even worse. We ordered 4 burritos 2 of pork spicy and 2chicken not spicy. When we got there to pick up the food they had given 2 of ours away or thrown them out. So we asked for the rest of the order. We ended up with 3 pork spicy and 1 chicken. The kids were not pleased to have to get something else. They didn’t want spicy food and tried to eat it but it was to much for them to tolerate. We were very upset with this but because the vehicle I was driving needed to get in the shop i couldn’t risk going back the same day.

Not sure if she’s a manager running the place but each visit I’ve had there I’ve seen staff not being so pleasant with the other staff. She be yelling and saying rude things to the staff infront of customers. Portions on food at this location feel less then others and taste burnt or expired sometimes
