I swung by with a friend close to closing time, but the staff didn’t rush us at all. They were already cleaning up the place when we walked in. We took our sweet time ordering a meal for four to go. The staff wasn’t super friendly, but they weren’t rude at all and showed a lot of patience.

This place is amazing idc what anyone says, i love their food. Every chance i get i’ll convince my parents for us to eat there, we drive out of town just to taste their delicious food again. Authentic Mexican food! The raspados are so fresh and plentiful. I always order the torta de milanesa de pollo. When in season, I’ll order a cemita con papalo also very tasty.

First time here and wont be our last. Clean, friendly service and a nice selection on the menu to choose from. Only question is..No Beans in the burrito? Still tasty but was missing beans.

Not sure what poor experience some folks have had a Los Portales, I can’t imagine a poor experience here – all of mine have been excellent, friendly, delicious, and affordable. You’ll never have to worry about quality or quantity here.

I love this place. I have been here several times, and the food has always been delicious. There are so many great Mexican restaurants in Newburgh/New Windsor and this is definitely one of them! Portions are great, food is always fresh, and I cannot complain about the price. Also they have the best horchata around. My nyc relatives cannot get enough and always insist on going to this spot when they visit.

Tortillas were excellent, as were sopes. Loved the toppings, and sides. There were so many interesting + authentic choices of meat for tacos. I wished the pork skin & pork belly tacos were fried, but that’s my personal taste and might not be how they are traditionally made. I also wished I got dessert , another mistake on my part, lol.
