What a cute deli; the person behind the counter was very welcoming and kind. The place was very clean with lots of room to sit. I decided on a burger, and it was okay, but it seemed way too salty for me. Also, in hindsight, I should have ordered a single patty. The house-made chips were too thick for my preference and also seemed lacking in flavor. The presentation of the food itself was amazing, though, as you can see in my photo. I’ll be back to try out something else eventually, as I can tell they put out quality food. I just don’t recommend the burger.

Let first and tell you this is no regular deli or bakery, I came in with my wife for the first time and I ordered a house burger well done with crispy bacon on the side and my wife ordered a Ruben, I have had over 100 different burgers in restaurants and this is for sure in the top 2. First bite I new the flavor was so good I was so shocked I quickly told my wife to take a bite before I ate it all and she agreed that it was a very great burger, and her Ruben was made excellent and tasted so good if you have not been here definitely recommend this place. I had to meet the chef and she was so friendly just like the staff and the food was quick and so good they have so many items on the menu go check them out and they also serve breakfast all day.

Went to this place recently to find a good deli in the neighborhood. Unfortunately, all their Challah was molding and it took 2 people to go through to find a non molding loaf. Was handed a molded loaf three times before getting an acceptable one!!! Ridiculous! Really hoping next time will be better as it seems like a nice establishment, but truly a bad first impression.

Great choice for lunch on Sunday. Although the wait was nearly 45 minutes, they DO have a system in place to seat you in order as you placed your order. Both turkey and Rueben were delicious, and the staff did a great job keeping the line from getting any longer. 4.5 Stars.

This place is a total ripoff. My sandwich came out totally soggy and fell apart the minute I picked it up. They remade my sandwich but the waitress dropped the plate on my table and had a bad attitude. When I mentioned to her that wasn’t very polite, she replied: “But I smiled.” When I looked up to thank her, she had disappeared, so I never saw that “smile”. When I asked to speak with a manager, they refused to give me their names or the name of the manager. She then said the manager was too busy to come out and talk to me. In the restaurant business, when you ask to speak with a manager, they are more than happy to come out and find out what’s going on in their restaurant. Don’t think you’re getting an original homemade well prepared sandwich here. You can tell by the way it was prepared. I was going to buy a loaf of bread when I left, but this place doesn’t deserve my business. Of course I won’t be back.

It was the first time I was I since they re-opened. It was nice to see them busy. I had the Smokey salmon on sourdough which was nice and refreshing. My dad loves Rueben ordered one with high expectations. He found it the meat fatty and the sandwich greasy. I remember thei breakfasts a bit too greasy for me. I was surprised to find the wait longer than I thought would be. I love visiting the Monona Farmers market to pick up their awesome rosemary potato bread.

This place was easily 5 stars in the past but has really gone downhill lately. I don’t know what’s going on but they keep reducing hours and delivering consistently bad service. I hear it’s hard to find good help, but I am not making excuses. It’s just sad to watch the slow decline of a neighborhood gem.

The sandwiches were bad! I wanted to like this place but so not worth the money. Customer service was horrible! I went there with my family on Father’s Day and nobody greeted us or smiled. The young lady that took our order looked annoyed to be there and wasn’t helpful. Not coming back unfortunately.

Meh. My lox sandwich salmon did not taste smoked, my German style potato salad seemed to be baked boiled potatoes with a drizzle of vinegar, nothing else added. The sour dough bread and challah loaves I took home were fantastic.

I heard that this was the best sandwich shop in the city, and I would AGREE!! The Saturday special is Cubano, and it surely is special. The meat falls apart in your mouth, the bread has some crunch but soaks up the delicious juice, and the pickle and mustard had just enough tang.
