I really felt the southern atmosphere and environment when I walked into the place. The place looked clean and the owner greeted me with a lot of enthusiasm. Since Dickey’s went under new management, I feel that it had improved a lot. I ordered a burger with fried okra. The beef inside the burger had a great spice blend and the BBQ and ranch sauce along with the buns complimented the piece of meat very nicely. I also never tried the fried okra but will definitely be having that again. Overall great restaurant with amazing food!

**This is for Richardson location on Coit RD, Dickey’s BBQ is the ultimate BBQ experience! The meat is cooked to perfection, so tender and juicy that it melts in your mouth. The sauce is the perfect blend of sweet and tangy, adding the perfect amount of flavor to the already delicious meat. The sides are an absolute dream – I can’t get enough of the creamy mac and cheese or the savory baked beans. Overall, Dickey’s BBQ is a must-try for anyone who loves BBQ.Not only is the food at Dickey’s BBQ amazing, but the customer service is top-notch as well. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in the door. Pricing on menu and cash register were off. Overcharged $3. No AC in the building on a 103 degree day, but it doesn’t seem it was a mechanical issue as no one there working on it – maybe the owner’s choice to not have it on to save money? Food tasted just okay, but definitely not what it cost. Also, no napkins in the restaurant but a box of Kleenex on each table. Have you tried to clean BBQ off your hands with a Kleenex?!

Worst place ever. I’ll never eat at a Dickeys ever again. Texas toast, ha more like a roll cold at that. I got the 2 meat plate ribs, and brisket gave me two pieces of ribs, and nothing but fat on my brisket. Food was so nasty I didn’t even want to complain.

The new owners have really turned this place around. They have new spices and cook the brisket until it falls apart. They have halal options as well! My family has lived in Texas for close to 200 years so needless to say I have had plenty of BBQ. This place is one of the best I have had. On top of that the staff there is excellent. They were very helpful and cordial.
