Just had my first experience today at Southern Belle and it blew my expectations out of the water. I tried the Sausage and Chicken Gumbo, Crayfish and Spinich appetizer, lots of beignets (yes they’re really as good as the one’s you get at Cafe du Monde – a restaurant famous specifically for beignets). My fiancé had the Belle Po’boy and it was superb; everything that we had was absolutely phenomenal. The owner Joel was very knowledgeable in his craft, and very welcoming and helpful and kind beyond measure. This is real, AUTHENTIC creole cuisine, and the man responsible shows the passion he has for his home food with every dish he makes. I cannot recommend this place enough. I will be back… many times over.

I highly recommend this place. We ordered almost everything on the menu and honestly I can’t complain about any of it. It was all so amazing and the owners are wonderful people. We will definitely be making the 40ish minute drive often.

I am a local, and a regular here, and hopefully it will stay that way. The food is (as far as I know) authentic cajun, and tastes absolutely amazing! The service is great, and the staff are great people. I’m glad we finally got a new restaurant in town, and I am extremely happy that it was this one. I’m glad they haven’t given up, considering that starting a restaurant in a very small town is probably quite a challenge, but they’re powering right through!

Stopped by on the way home from the lake. My husband had the Boo fries which were excellent. We shared a Belle po ‘boy wish was also great. The portions were quite generous. The waitress and the owner were both super friendly. Looking forward already to future visits.

Drove from south Topeka to check this gem out after a coworker raved about it! Might I say it’s Definitely worth the 15/20 min countryside drive to make this your new family favorite spot! Owner and his son were amazing people!! Very clean environment, Food made fresh and in house and you can definitely tell he puts his heart and soul into his food!! The cook/owner has that voodoo magic for sure!! And you definitely get your money’s worth! Nice courtyard dining option, very New Orleans vibe!! Only better!!! We had the Fried Okra, amazing, crawfish hushpuppies, amazing! boo fries, spoooktacular and everyone’s favorite!! My Gumbo was delicious! Shrimp and catfish Po boy most heavenly divine! And as if you could eat any more the Beignets uhhh café Du monde who?! Southern belle creole is where it’s at y’all!!

A good selection of cajun and American food. The food was great. For being a little off the beaten path, it is definitely worth the drive. Ample parking ADA accessable public restrooms clean the staff is friendly. I will definitely be back.
