I had a great experience. The waitresses were very kind and accommodating for my take out order.

The food is very unique, really curious about their navajo tacos recommended by our guide. The downside was only that our waitress didnt give us any complimentary bread. And also before we finished eating, she already offered us the bill. Never happened before.

This hotel restaurant has a good menu, very good food, a chill ambience, and decent prices. Our food (fry bread with green chili, steak and potatoes, soup and a salad) all was good – except for my steak, which was a bit overcooked andchewy (asked for medium rare). However, service here is bad. Getting seated took a while (they had a waiting list), then drinks took 20 minutes (actually we had to remind the server we had ordered soda), then food took probably another 20-30 minutes and was not served together (my mom’s entre salad came out way before the hot entrees and so she was almost done by the time we got our plates). They also did not have the soup we ordered/was on the menu but didn’t tell us that; we just got a random other soup that we didn’t want. And, I asked for a different side than I received. The server was nice but, it was disappointing to have things missing or wrong and to wait so much.

This restaurant is in the hotel tugged away in the small town of Kayenta. We had the tacos, their Saturday night special – chicken fried chicken and burger – burger was slightly dry but tacos and fried chicken were bread pudding and ice-cream was also a good way to end the night. I would recommend this Navajo traditional restaurant to people passing through.

Tri tip on Navajo bread excellent(the bread reminded me of moms yorkshire pudding. Nachos were tasty and not greasy! Black bean soup also tasty. A nice surprise in the Hampton Inn.

I’ve been staying at the Hampton Inn for the last week nearly and I’ve had dinner in the attached restaurant many nights. I recommend going with the specials as things are pricey otherwise but entirely worth it!!! The staff are excellent and so very friendly they made me feel like home and I enjoyed seeing them and chatting with them everyday! Now, for the best advice you’ll get… if you can only afford to eat here one night then it has to be Wednesday for the braised lamb shank!!!!! Don’t doubt me. Just do it. For dessert grab a mud pie and a couple spoons if you’re not alone. Enjoy!! I wish tomorrow was Wednesday again omg!

I can only eat small portions. They have in the past taken the time to carefully split a green chili stew entree for me and another guest, like exactly, even cutting the roasted poblano in half, half size sour cream dollops etc. Then refused to let me order a grilled cheese from the kids menu, even for an upcharge. I understand the reasoning but I’d be willing to pay extra to get what I’m craving, that they already offer. It’s even more perplexing because I often just get a cup of soup, their cheapest menu offering, because it’s a good portion size for me. My 2 stars is more of an indictment of poor policy choices. Next time I’ll just try room service.

Lovely ambiance, very friendly staff. I had the Salmon my husband had the Green Chilli Stew. I enjoyed mine but wished I had had the stew too. The fried bread was delicious (he shared a small piece of his).A very popular dining place.
