Fresh and always delicious. Our go to is a six pack and a pound. Half crispy and half soft shell. I was amazed how crispy the shell was 35 years ago and still find it fascinating that they haven’t changed the shell recipe. The meat sauce is covered with finely shredded cheese and lettuce. I prefer the hot sauce on top. The pound of potato rounds are freshly fried, always warm and not greasy. They use to sprinkle a chili powder over the tasty morsels but not anymore. Still , they are a perfect complement to the tacos. My son always orders the cheesy quesadillas. According to him I can’t make the as good as taco John’s does. The rest of the menu has something for everyone, breakfast lunch and dinner. Including breakfast burritos, BIG Beef and bean burritos. We like to eat inside because they have a condiment bar with different sauces and salsas. Overall a great price for the quality of ingredients.

It was a nice place with nice people. But I feel like I got sick from the food. I have had an upset stomach for almost a week. And it started after eating the chicken nacho burrito which also had a small piece of foil in it.

Everything was great except the 2 staff didn’t know about the sauce behind the counter so after arguing a couple minutes I said forget it and paid as I walked away there’s a sign that said ask for mild sauce behind the counter and me I just grabbed the sign and showed them so I got 1 cup with 4 tacos went back for 1 cup and was charged 31 cents lol had to break a $20 bill but I love the sauce just not the knowledge of the 2 rude cashiers that was proved wrong by a sign in front of the cash register

The cashier was very nice. She asked if I was eating in or taking out. I told her that I usually can’t finish all my food and I take the remainder home for later. She put a to-go box on my tray too.! I was impressed. I haven’t been to Taco John’s in years. I think the taco salad size is smaller than it used to be. I was happy you offered root beer as a drink choice. It was very serene there at 1:30 PM. No loud ppl, tables available. I use a rollator, so I had a little trouble deciding where I would not be in ppls way. I didn’t notice the row of tables to the side until I left the store. The lettuce in my salad was fresh and crispy. Not very much beef. I don’t know what the creamy pale orange dressing was. It tasted like thousand Island dressing. I put several packets of hot sauce as well as mild sauce on the salad. I like very spicy sauces. I like to put fresh serrano chilis on my food at home. I guess most ppl don’t do that. The transit bus had a little trouble backing up in the small parking lot, mostly bc a few ppl were either elderly or just rude. Overall, it was a peaceful and pleasant place to eat. The food was too bland for me, but I was very pleased with the freshness.
