The last time I had spaghetti Diavolo was seaside in Venice Italy at one of the top restaurants… D’Coratos is better. This is a must try for anyone who loves Italian. Small and quaint. Good service. Fair pricing.

Super tiny place that you’d miss if you weren’t looking for it… but WOW!!!! The BEST Italian food in all of Sarasota! The gnocchi was the best that both my fiancé and I have ever had!!! (I’m from New Jersey and he has lived in Italy!). The pasta I was perfectly al dente, the seafood was perfectly cooked, the ambiance was beautiful and the service was both elevated and outstanding! If I could give this restaurant 6 stars… I would! Definitely try to make a reservation due to its small size/ limited tables. (We were walk-in’s and sat immediately but they did say it’s normally a wait without one… but that’s everywhere now it seems.

We are regular customers of D’Corato, so when we wanted to find a caterer for an Italian meal for our recent Family Reunion on Siesta Key, we did not hesitate to reach out to Vincenzo. Vincenzo prepared a complete meal for us which included a beautiful Tiramisu birthday cake lovingly made by his mother.

We had our rehearsal dinner at D’Corato and it was perfection. The food was AMAZING! Everyone raved about how great it was from start to finish. The antipasto for an appetizer was a HUGE highlight and for the main course, it was hard to choose. My dad said it was the best eggplant he has ever had. The lasagna was an absolute favorite. The servers were WONDERFUL! They were constantly coming around filling up wine glasses and were so friendly and attentive. The family owned restaurant went out of their way to make this such a special event for us. The mother made the most beautiful cake with tiramisu and limoncello (at my request because couldn’t choose). It looked like a small wedding cake, the way she decorated it and was so delicious. They even went out of their way to put decorations on the tables and make us a special menu with our names. I really cant say enough good things about them, you just have to go for yourself. You won’t be disappointed with the food or the service. We are huge Italian food lovers and D’Corato is the best. THANK YOU so much for making such a special night for us!
