This place has changed ownership and name. Now it’s Hong Kong Cafe…very unfortunate. We loved Black Dog but no more. We ordered the Honey Walnut Shrimp for takeout. When we got home and began to eat, we couldn’t chew the shrimp. Whatever coating was used, it was thick and very tough and chewy. We literally had to take the shrimp out of the coating to eat it. Very disappointed…we won’t be going back.

So sad that this place went under new ownership! My husband and I LOVED black dog!! Got take out the other night. My orange chicken was ok but def wasn’t the same. My husband gets general tsos chicken extra spicy every time we ordered from there and this time it wasn’t spicy and didn’t have the flavor it used to have. His fried rice was awful!!! It looked like white rice with a tiny but of soy sauce in it and the peas and carrots were all shriveled up and didn’t look cooked. We got the dumplings that we get every time and they even tasted different. We are so upset and disappointed.

This quaint little restaurant serves great food at reasonable prices and BYOB is a big plus as well. The food is freshly prepared and artfully presented. It’s one of our go to places and we enjoy the little side patio for outdoor eating in the warmer weather. The staff is very kind and tries hard to please. We have been there many times and have never been disappointed. Lots of great things to try, but red snapper, thai red curry salmon, honey walnut shrimp, and many of the beef dishes are favorites. Also they will try to accommodate your dietary needs and are very willing to make changes if they can.

Amazing little family run place in the heart of Skippack village. The portions are huge and great for sharing. I get takeout here a few times a month. They have a bit of a different spin on their pad Thai than most places but it’s phenomenal!!! Reasonably priced and BYOB if you’re eating in. The staff is super friendly and the longest I’ve ever waited for a food pickup was 30 minutes on a busy night. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something affordable. A great place to get wine is up the street at the village wine cellar before coming in for dinner.

Always good, fresh, and delicious Chinese and Thai food. The menu choices are limited, but excellently prepared, flavorful, and creatively presented. I’ve never had a bad experience with the wait staff. They go above and beyond to make me and my company comfortable. One friend drives out from Pittsburgh every year to visit, and insists on eating here. We are never rushed even though we often only order appetizers and tea. The duck in ponzu sauce appetizer and crispy shredded beef entree are particularly good.

Happened in for a late lunch and it was a delight. A wonderful menu of $9 lunch specials, offering something for every taste. Includes generous bowl of delicious soup, choice of fried or plain rice with entree. We also shared an order of two light, crispy and delicate spring rolls. Entrees were General Tso’s Chicken and Shrimp with Spicy Garlic Sauce. Delicate and delicious flavors and lovely garnishes. Our server was welcoming, friendly, efficient and very sweet. An A+ experience and we’ll be back for dinner! Thank you.

I have eaten at this restaurant many times over the last 6 years. I’ve never, ever had a bad meal. Nor has anyone I’ve ever taken ever complained about anything. The wait staff is always pleasant and efficient. The food is beautifully presented and is always delicious. Prices are extremely reasonable. This is hands down my favorite restaurant in the area!

Hey so if you are walking in town the entrance is all the way around back with the outdoor seating. Where you walk in is not fancy, but… The food was really good. Some of the Asian dishes you’d expect but also interesting alternatives. Kung Pao chicken was really nicely flavored. I had Mango Chicken. Almost like a sweet and sour but the breading was light and crispy and the sauce was a really nice, delicate combination of flavors. Good stuff. I’ll eat here again.
