Stopped here after craving some BBQ on a night out. Ordered the family platter for $60 plus a brisket combo. I received a good amount of ribs and a good helping of brisket, and four thick slices of smoked ham which was actually really tasty. Some of the ribs and brisket were a little charred, but I kind of like that. Strong applewood/maple smoke flavor came through in all the meat. The chicken was fall off the bone tender.

It’s not the great southern BBQ I’m used to, but it’s good for this town. Brisket wasn’t fatty nor dry. The pasta salad was unique. Beans had good flavor. The two girls at the counter were on something – barely could keep their eyes open – so they completely fumbled my husband’s meal, but I get it, good help is hard to find in this state.

The food was gross to me. The cold slaw had was dry, it tasted like one of those cold slaw kits with very little mayo, also do you actually slow cook those ribs on a smoker, or are they cooked in an oven or boiled with smoke flavor. I’m from the south,so those ribs didn’t taste right. What kind of wood did you smoke with. I did like your potato salad! And your service was great! Also my teenager enjoyed your brisket sandwich, your barbecue sauce on the ribs was to tomato-based (ketchup)heavy (maybe add a lil spice?. Anyway thanks for everything else.

The brisket is awesome, very flavorful. The onsite smoker really does the trick. The coleslaw was a little more vinegary than I like. A meal definitely worth the price.

Food was great. So glad we found this place it is now our go to for BBQ. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxed and inviting. Looking forward to being able to dine in at some point.

Genuinely Excited to visit this place. I knew I went in early so it was unlikely I would receive today’s meat which is fine. Unfortunately the sandwiches I did receive were NOT re-heated to a safe temp to consume, they were was barely luke-warm. I wouldn’t normally be as upset as I was and would have consumed it but I could not because I am pregnant and NEEDED the food to be reheated to a safe temp to eat the food. Really unfortunate first time experience. Please reheat your food properly.

As we were driving down Meridian at about 145th I started to smell the most amazing BBQ ever… Now I’m a bbq person. So when we saw the smoke there was no doubt about flipping a U at the corner… Inside the place looks feels n smells clean. Face mask being worn the owner is super friendly.. I had the Brisket sandwich with baked beans n Potato salad with a cornbread.. OMG so much meat on the Sammy I had to eat it for lunch n dinner… Was amazing… Everything taste as if I was back with Grandma n Grandpa on the farm.. The Ribs….. WOW ok yummy.. made me mad we only got a small order of that.. if you want some good ol down home BBQ get over here and get some… Even tho the drive may take me 30 min or more to get there I can’t wait to go back… The cornbread man…. Has that ok skool cornbread flavor… Make you wanna slap yo mama…I can’t say enough about how good that was… Thank you for the best lunch/dinner I had in a long while… Now everybody is opening you gonna be mad if you don’t get on over to Po-Boy’s Bar-B-Q… Gets a 15 out 10 my friend…….

Have not been back since the owners daughter accused me of lying. I once ordered a chicken dinner and back then it came with a muffin. I went back to the counter to ask for the muffin and was told I did get it and I was lying. She said this in front of other customers. My wife and kids were so embarrassed we dumped our food in the trash and left disgusted as this daughter had choice words for me as her father didn’t tell her to stop it.

A real jewel. They have the “smoke” in smoked meat dialed in. If you have never tried the double smoked ham, that is one to remember. Owner was friendly, accommodating. Bake beans are pretty standard, cole slaw is better than most, (not too sweet). It would be my honor to visit again someday.
