Last 4 times I’ve eaten there the food was bad. White gravy was “broken” according to them. It was spoiled. Only one good waitress there. The place is dirty. The restroom was disgusting. I am a caregiver and take the lady there because she likes it. Salad didn’t come until I asked waitress. She has no business working there. My stomach was upset all night. I’m done and will not return.

I’m not sure how this place remains open, seeing as how the parking lot is nearly always empty, & the service nearly always hovers around 1 or less. The prices are good. I’ll give them that. And they have an expansive menu. But on our last visit, my hb & I waited in an empty restaurant, we were literally the only people in the restaurant being served, & it took at least a half hour to get our meals. And that was AFTER I asked about the holdup. The waitress claimed it was because the cook decided to change the oil, right at dinner time no less, & it was still cold. Ok, that might have been believable if we hadn’t overheard her having a conversation with the cook about my hb’s fries getting cold while he waited on his sandwich. So he had to ‘drop more’. I had a feeling he might have been more concerned with a smoke break, or being roused from a nap. The catfish was good, only it wasn’t what I ordered. I’d ordered the walleye. The waitress acted shocked at her mistake, but it could have been avoided if she’d actually written the order down. The fried mushroom appetizer APPEARED plentiful, but it was mostly fried crumbs. I will give the waitress credit. She was very nice, & gave me the discount I requested to make up for the error, but I’m not sure we’ll return. We’ve given it several chances, & it’s just gone too far downhill. The interior is very dingy, & crumbling. I’m surprised they can still pass health inspections. They’ve had some great waitresses over the years, but for whatever reason, they never stay, & their ‘cooks’ are hit or miss. Never consistent from one visit to the next.

The food is ok, definitely not fresh. The atmosphere is dingy and depressing and hearing the waitresses complain about EVERYTHING just isn’t what you want to hear. Don’t recommend at all for anything.

The food and service was pretty good. I got biscuits and gravy with hash browns, and we went early in the morning so it wasnt busy at all. The only downside is that the booths has ketchup and other sauces stuck to them. They need to be wiped down with a really wet rag and cleaner.. that was the only downside like i said…
