This is seriously my favorite restaurant in Austin. The food is always fresh, consistent, and delicious. The variety of flavors and textures between all the sides are a delight to all the senses. The owners are incredibly friendly and the atmosphere is open and bright with great lively middle eastern music. A perfect lunch spot. My favorite is the lamb shank, hummus, and coriander potatoes. Make sure to split your sides in half to try more variety; and don’t worry, you’ll still have lots to take home.

Usually, after an experience so refreshing to the soul & satisfying to the pallet, I would tend to lean toward waxing loquacious. But sometimes, less is more and I’m stuffed, more or less. If you enjoy a taste of the Mediterranean you owe it to yourself, your taste buds and my new friend Ali, who fed me and treated me like a friend when those @ St. Vincent de Paul treated me leprous. Come, all those who love good home cooked style food. Come, all those who value value & who appreciate real human beings.

Perfect cafeteria style Middle Easter restaurant. If I were still single, I would never cook. You can buy a pound of beef swarma and bread to go for sandwiches or sit down for a great meal. Very easy going family run restaurant.

Wonderful Mediterranean/middle eastern food place hidden on the corner of N Lamar and next to Chinatown. I didn’t realize I actually had been here before during the pandemic and it was so good. You order in an assembly line style like chipotle and you can choose to build your plate however you want. Each day they’ll have a daily protein special but the other items stay the same: hummus, fatoush salad, chickpea, potatoes, falafel, pita, etc. For how much food you get the price is very affordable and we always leave with leftovers. Please don’t pass up this little gem when driving by it’s worth the stop!

We love coming here. Great food and portions. Service has always been great. We enjoy ordering the mixed meat shawarma with 2 sides of veggies and special with 2 sides of veggies and a falafel. The sides they will give you half portions so you can get more variety. The plate in the picture is a sampler plate we make for each person in the family. Every order also includes pita. They also have amazing deserts.

This place is a gem! I’ve never dined in and I always order from this place on Uber Eats, but the food from here is DELICIOUS. I was apprehensive about getting lamb, but it’s the best protein in the menu. It is so moist and tastes so good! The rice is so yummy! And the potatoes have so much flavor. And can I just talk about the baklava? The baklava is the best baklava I’ve ever had. I recommend the pistachio ones! Overall, yes, order from here cause it’s 10/10. I hope to dine in one day! (Sorry about the half eaten lamb photo. I couldn’t resist.)

If you are craving some middle eastern and Palestinian food and desserts than look no further. This time I went there just for knafeh/kunafa. Super tasty! Owner and staff members are very friendly and welcoming.

I went here based purely off of the reviews, everyone seemed to love it and I just had to check it out. You walk in and order from a cafeteria style lunch line, with tons of sides to choose from. I always get the 2 side plate, but you can divide the sides into half sides. I also end up getting a couple different kinds of baklava. I usually end up spending around $20 or so. The staff is super super friendly, I love them. Once I went here 3 times in one week. I highly recommend you go here. Get the coriander potatoes and the spicy hummus.

Located in central Austin, Peace Bakery Deli serves middle eastern eats and sweets. It is located in a plaza so plenty of parking in the shared lot with the other businesses. This is a family-owned restaurant, with not only the typical middle eastern dishes (shawarma, kabobs), but also daily special menu items, which makes things even harder to decide what to get! You can find the information for their food specials online, seems like they update it on a regular basis. I was also pretty impressed by the wide variety of side dishes including dips and salads.
