I ordered, Halal Boyz, the other night for dinner. Had got their Large Mixed Over Rice Platter and my guest ordered their Chicken Over Rice Platter. My guest said that Chicken Over Rice Platter was very good, and I can personally say that their Mixed Over Rice Platter was phenomenal! Great portion size, extremely tasty, and fresh tasting. Absolutely enjoyed my platter. The rice had great flavor and the seasonings on the lamb and chicken mixed was great as well too. All in all, it was a great experience, and I also absolutely loved the food! I would highly recommend, Halal Boyz, to anyone looking for some fresh, tasty, Halal food in the Newark Area!

We picked up 2 meals from this place. The taste is very good at reasonable prices. The chicken gyro wrap is very good also the chicken burger and falafel over rice. The sauces and salad they use are very tasty. We went on a Sunday evening they did not allow us to dine in as they had blocked the table and chairs hence we did take away. There is free street parking right outside.

Went to go pickup my Doordash order and cashier did not want to give it to me until he saw my name. I opened up my Doordash profile to show him and he still insisted on checking the orders in the register. Very rude and nasty and the food is way overpriced and not that great anyway. Most lamb gyros are in chunks of meat, not grounded. Also, it kinda tastes like regular ground beef. Therefore, I will not be ordering from this place again.

I rarely do reviews but this one needed to be sent as I was quite disappointed with our order. My hubby & I ordered the chicken on rice meal (large) and it came with soggy fries but hardly any sauce on the rice & chicken. The crispy chicken burger was plain and the wings were distasteful. I always thought you couldn’t mess up on wings:( We were staying at a hotel and have two small kids so couldn’t leave to pick up more food. Stuck with this expensive meal and completey disappointed. I expected a higher quality from HB.

Im not sure if it’s because I ordered after 12am but my food tasted horrible. I mean BAD. Fish was way too salty rice was over cooked. This was my first time ordering from here and most likely my last. I’ve never had halal food that tasted this bad. I hate to leave a bad review but this was a horrible experience.

Had a Gyro and the lamb over rice. Lamb playe came with side salad. Flavorful rice, fresh veggies. Lamb was ground, and very tasty. Red sause had a nice spice to it. Super clean, friendly and fast.

got delivery to my house and it was scrumdilly so freaking yummy and seasoned the flavors were carpet bombing my mouth with delicious mediterranean spices and the tzatziki was a refreshing and smooth finish to the explosion of flavors that not only enhanced the dish but tied together and rounded the flavors together in perfect harmony.
