Delicious food. Good customer service and awesome labeling and presentation. I ordered 12 count tamales, and 2 Barria treys. Oh my goodness it it was sooo delicious! Hubs and I over ate. I should have ordered more. Well worth the money for portion size and fresh authentic food! I’d rather give my money to a small business like Raleigh Tamales than to a big chain any day! The location was a bit confusing to me because there wasn’t a sign for the business clearly visible, I called for clarity, but Raleigh Tamales a treasure for sure. I will be back!

I just tried Raleigh Tamales for the first time through my subscription to The Produce Box. I got the sweet potato and black bean tamales. Holy WOW these are fantastic!!! Soft, filling, and full of flavor. Large enough to be a meal all on its own. They were so delicious I just had to leave a Google review. So glad I live down the street from Flavor District so I can get my hands on these tamales whenever I get a craving 🙂 Give Raleigh Tamales a try, you won’t be disappointed!

We ordered food from Raleigh Tamales in the Flavor District for dinner tonight, and couldn’t have been more pleased! We are from San Diego and are always searching for good Mexican food. Well now I don’t even need to leave Wake Forest to get good Mexican food! We had the fish tacos (excellent sauce), birria tacos (my husband didn’t say a word because he was too busy eating them!), and bean tamales (Yum). The food was presented nicely with carrots/cucumber in paper containers (yay – no styrofoam). Everything was so flavorful. We will be back! You should give it a try!

We love Raleigh Tamales! We have had them for many catered parties and all our guest have always loved them! I also recommend asking Tiffany about Birria if you are doing a catering order – best secret tacos ever. Oh and also the Mexican corn! Yum! We love it all.

I’m going to be honest I was a little skeptical of these tamales because of price, but you get what you pay for!!! These things are not only huge but delicious! Even my picky kids loved them, and that’s hard to get them to all like something!!! Thank you again for letting me order so close to closing time! We will be back!!!

Talk about incredible!! Our family just had our first Raleigh Tamales experience. Chicken tamales, carne fries, birria ramen, and some cheese quesadillas. Wow…just wow. Very authentic, amazing flavor. Extremely filling. I think we just found our new favorite spot!! Thank you so much!!

Raleigh Tamales made me look good. Their delicious tamales, rice and beans for our Christmas dinner was a big hit with everyone. From those who had never tried tamales before and those who have eaten them from an early age. Everything was wonderful and I highly recommend them.

I was so excited when Flavor District came to Wake Forest to see that there was a tamale place because I was born in Texas where I came to appreciate a good, authentic tamale and they are very labor intensive to attempt to make at home. Unfortunately they failed on every measure. I ordered through Postmates tonight and waited over an hour and a half to receive my order. My first delivery driver just gave up and left and the second one waited for at least 30 minutes and when he asked what was going on they simply said that there was only one person working so they just hadn’t made my order after an hour and 15 minutes and within 5 minutes of closing time … my assumption is that they planned to close and not fulfill my order at all … if you can’t staff properly to fulfill orders you shouldn’t be in business, especially on a Thursday night. When I finally received the order it was incorrect. I ordered pork taquitos and received chicken. The taquitos are okay-ish, but are much better from Tlaquepaque and other local Mexican restaurants, but the tamales, their namesake, are mushy, as if they came from a can, and I’m assuming that this watery, salty tan mush is supposed to be refried beans, but I am kind of wishing that they did come from a can because it would have been better that way. I REALLY wanted to love this place but don’t even deem it worth a second try. The salsa roja was good at least 🙂

If you want authentic Mexican food, this is it. Even the refried beans and horchata is made from scratch! I’ve tried the tacos, tortas, taco salads, birria quesadilla, carne asada fries, chicharones with the homemade guac, and it’s all been fantastic! My favorite – THE PORK TAMALES! OMG. I also enjoy when she launches new things. I tried her Taco Americana today and let me tell you, it was something different BUT it was juicy and sooooo very tasty! I’ll def order it again! Loved the switch up with the flour tortilla. I can’t wait to see and try what they come up with next. Thank you so much!

I ordered La Americano. The ground beef was so dry, hard, overcooked and unseasoned that it was inedible. There was no lime or carrots included with the order as the menu stated.
