There are 6 waiters and 7 people behind the bar, we were seated promptly, given menus and water and then we waited, and waited and you get the picture. A couple that arrived after us was served first. After 10 minutes a waitress finally arrived. Once we placed our orders the drinks arrive fairly quickly.

We had a great! time at Romero’s. Birthday party of 20 hungry guys. The place was super cool, our table was ready with chips and salsa all ready to enjoy before our dinner. The margaritas were amazing!!! ….and they kept coming. the food was delicious and our server was very attentive / great service. Everyone had a blast! Definitely we’ll be back.

For starters there was a piece of hair in my salsa, which was just gross! Than my noodle bowl looked appetizing however there was clumps of noodles inside that was hidden at the bottom and I wasn’t about the eat the Juice inside the noodles was cold like it was made a min ago, the birria tacos I got were barely warm and filled with more cheese than anything, my steak tacos shell was just wet and soggy, let’s just say the hottest thing on the table was the queso cheese they brought out. Our waiter was okay, not to key on keeping us updated on our food or anything. So yea this was a basics taco place nothing really authentic about it. I don’t think I’ll be back due to the constant errors! I’ll stick with my armondos instead! Thanks for having us tho.

There is outdoor dining. The service is good, the hostess handles the take out and seated guests very quickly. Wednesday at 5:30, the place started getting busy after 6pm. There are 10 booths with one in the corner that can seat about 7-8 people. I had three veggie tacos, that tasted good but I could not find sweet potatoes that were supposed to be in them. To be fair, there is a separate sweet potato taco available. The veggie tacos can easily be made vegan, while the sweet potato taco has queso fresco on it. While you wait for your order, they serve a generous plate of chips and two flavors of salsa that was very good. While they do have a few monitors hanging around the bar area, the rest of the place was comfortable and a good place to go for conversation. The menu has a good variety of Mexican and American favorites that includes beef, chicken, pork, chorizo, shrimp, and cod. This is Detroit-style Mexican cuisine that lets you kick up your nachos to Botana style. They do have a ramen bowl here, but it is not included in the soup list.

Chips and salsa’s very fresh and tasty, especially the tomatillo salsa (that was my favorite). Also opted for the street tacos to keep it light and was very pleased. The tortilla’s again seemed really fresh and I like when the dip them in oil and heat them on the flat grill before building the tacos. The Pollo Asado (grilled Chicken) was my favorite, tender, tasty and not dried out. Also tried on steak (Asado) and thought tasted good but was a little tough. Topped all my tacos with their jalapeño salsa which was the perfect amount of heat. Would definitely come back again and would add a margarita (or two )

As a local in Shelby I had to try this new place out! I was warmly greeted at the door and was seated promptly. Immediately, staff came over to introduce themselves. The waiter was knowledable in the cocktail menu. Due to me being pregnant, I told him to make me the spiciest mocktail and he knocked it out of the park! The tejuan rim was the icing on the cake for me! The chips that came did not seem house made, but the salsas (variety of 3) were all very delicious and fresh. Salsas can definitely please a non-spicy to very spicy pallet. The appetizer I ordered was a vegan queso (minus the chorizo). It was a 3 cheese queso, but for my personal liking I was hoping for an ooy gooy white queso. Unfortunately, that was not the case, but the cheeses used would suit the pallet of most people (just not my pregnant one lol!). For dinner, I ordered the steak fajitas. It was delicious! The meat was seasoned perfectly with the vegetables. You get a hearty portion, worth every dollar. I got a side of jalapeno cornbread which was just the topping on the cake for my already scrumptious meal. The service our entire meal was prompt and inviting. Most definitely will be returning!

Got take out from here a week ago. Staff was nice. Food was good but had smaller portions than we like. Thought the price was a little high for the food we got. Enchiladas (3) were small and so was the quesadilla. Taste was great but would have liked more of it, especially for the price.
