Super cool place. It’s like taking a step back in time. This would be a great place for nice little day trip to get a ice cream. I got a rueben delicious! Also had a sundae coffee ice cream with carmel, hot fudge, cherry, whip cream and it was delicious.

We stopped for lunch today and it was by far the best sandwich I have had in awhile! My dad got the roast beef panini and I had the hoagie sandwich. As soon as we walked out we both said I would come back and make the 40 min trip again.

Great Reuben and cup of soup. The food was wonderful and the atmosphere was even better. The decor was authentic and not overdone. Ella Fitzgerald was playing over the speaker and the service was excellent. It couldn’t be more inviting and nostalgic.

I heard about this restaurant and wanted to give it a try. It’s on the corner downtown Plattsmouth, at 402 Main St. There was only one waitress trying to take care of all the patrons by herself, and I think there was only one cook in the kitchen. They do have a sign on the counter for Help Wanted! They are only open from 11a to 3p for lunch only Monday thru Saturday, closed on Sunday. They only have sandwiches, so I ordered the ham and turkey on sourdough bread and a pasta salad, my daughter ordered a panini. It seemed like it took a while from the time she took our order to when we finally got it. For dessert we ordered the brownie sundae and the huckleberry ice cream. The sandwiches were good but enjoyed the dessert, the huckleberry ice cream was really good as well as the brownie sundae. If you are looking for something different try this little restaurant.

This is one of my favorite places to grab a sandwich or milkshake for lunch. Our entire office loves to eat here. Whenever we welcome a new staff member, River House is almost always our choice for lunch. The Italian is my favorite. It’s the perfect blend of meat, cheese, and veggies, and has a nice dressing on it.

We absolutely love this hometown feel cafe. If you’re looking for comfy foods or a nice ice cream date with the kids this place is a great choice . I love that the menu keeps it simple and doesn’t overwhelm you . I love the daily specials or soup sandwiches or desserts. It’s become our place to go when we want to escape the hustle of the city and enjoy a nice meal with great staff with a nice and peaceful environment I recommend this place .
