My very honest review: We have been so excited to try Carrollton Chophouse. We ordered the appetizer sampler – Corn, Salmon Patties, BBQ Egg rolls. All were delicious. I ordered the ribeye for my entree and was not disappointed the steak was great! I also had the sweet and spicy collard greens which were good and the Brussel sprouts which I didn’t like. The only disappointment we had was the bread. I cannot wait to come back and try the hand cut fries and hopefully they get the crème brûlée soon cause I also wanted to try that. The drinks we ordered were delicious also.

Server was a young guy who did a good job checking on us regularly. Only complaint is he just didn’t know any of the liquors they had. The atmosphere was okay. It’s a nice building, but the decor could be better. The most important is the food:

Husband & I had fried green tomatoes, filet, t-bone, salad, & baked potato along with some mixed drinks… Was absolutely delicious! Something Carrollton was in need for! If they keep up how good it was last night, this place is gonna do very well.

Great food for the area! The wait staff definitely needs help; However, this could probably be attributed to it being the second night opening. Many of the problems were definitely just the kitchen and back of house which takes time. P.s for any gluten free people the hamburger steak does have gravy and it was not listed on the menu.

Had filet and grilled chicken, both were served hot and tasty. My mixed drink wasn’t good, but was promptly replaced . Restaurant was well staffed, efficient. Parking on site is limited, but free ramp is nearby.

My son ate here last night with his girlfriend. After reviewing his debit card statement, I found that they had charged him $91 for approximately $44 in food. Come to find out the server added an additional $15 tip after my son had left. On top of the $12 of gratuity they automatically added to the bill. On top of that they added someone else’s mail to my son’s ticket. I have now been up here for over an hour trying to get this sorted out and they have refused to do anything until I called the cops and threaten to press charges. I do not recommend this place.

First customers of the evening. No backups of orders. Should have been their best offer. I hope it wasn’t. Wife’s salmon was a little over cooked. I had an extremely dry and ugly filet. No chef cooked these meals. A beginner cook possibly. Even the add on shrimp was rubbery. Any southern dad can prepare meat on his grill better. Bread was fine and had an excellent glass of wine. This kitchen needs help Pronto. I do not like to give bad reviews but this food needs improvement quickly.

Potatoes were cold. Would not even melt the butter. Steak was flavorful but not served hot, barely warm. Think our food sat a while before being served. Also, ordered the steak medium rare and it was well over cooked. For the price, not a good experience. Will give them one more try since they are new.

Went to check out the restaurant during Mother’s Day. Waited almost 1 hr after order to received the steaks were cooked wrong (over cooked, asked for rare and got well done) and didn’t receive a child’s order.
