This is one of the best places I’ve ever eaten. The diner atmosphere is enjoyable and the staff are beyond friendly. The food takes center stage though. We stared and tried a few different things. The chili dog, double cheeseburger, slaw, toast, cup of gravy, fries and the cheeseburger steak with gravy. It was all phenomenal. I will go back here every time I’m in Clemson from now on (Actually going back tomorrow with friends). My only complaint is that I didn’t find this place sooner in life.

Stopped for lunch while moving my daughter to school. This is truly a down home type diner. My favorite kind, like being in someone’s kitchen. This is not anything like a fancy corporate place. Menu on the wall above the counter. Cash only but there is an ATM. My wife and I had double cheeseburgers and fries. Soo good! Daughter and Son had chicken sandwich’s with fries and enjoyed every bit of it. Give this place a shot, you won’t be disappointed.

Be a part of history by ordering a chili dog plate. The vanilla shake is purportedly the best in the state. The fries are crispy, perfectly fried. When you look up, you’ll see remnants of a piece of the goal post which was torn down during Clemson’s national championship in 1981.

Had the double cheeseburger plate with just fries for lunch. I’ve been here throughout my life but hadn’t been in a while, and I forgot how good the burger was. I love the atmosphere; it’s not like gross but it’s got age on it and all the memorabilia and dated decor with the bar, stools, and tvs hits the spot vibe-wise. If you want top notch greasy spoon in both food and atmosphere this is a fantastic choice. But do note there’s only one or two booths, usually occupied, so don’t come here expecting to be able to sit more than 1 or 2 other people.

Without a doubt one of the best diners around. The atmosphere was classic, the food was divine, hospitality was palpable, and the sweet tea was just right. Prices are extremely fair BUT know it’s cash only, which I’m a fan of. 5/5 would travel the extra mile for it.

We had a sandwich there a day or two ago. The service was excellent and a friendly atmosphere. The staff there was very friendly and helpful!!!!!!! We will be going back there again soon. The restaurant has been in the same place since I was a teenager and I am 71 years old!!!!!!
