I used to really love this location, but recently they began using less ingredients on their sandwiches, mainly the lettuce. I have requested extra lettuce a number of times in the past (at least 4) and only once did they actually accommodate me, but it was always within reason and I really did love this place so I foolishly kept coming back. This time however, it really does feel like I was intentionally given a sandwich with hardly any lettuce on it, especially since the staff even confirmed with me that I requested heavy lettuce as I was handed my order. Very disappointed and quite frankly appalled. Will not be coming back again after that insulting experience.

The firehouse subs in Opelika Al are really great ,but them 2 nasty white girls that works there are nasty creatures! I seen them go out side with 10 mins before they opened to smoke and went back in without washing their hands. They both were already looking ragged from what the smoking has done to them and the manager teeth are all rotted out. Well when she open the door to open I just straight up asked her if they washed their hands cause I had got out of my car to see if they would wash their hands and she got pissed off cause I told her that she did not wash her hands and I seen this with my own 2 eyes. She got so mad cause I told her to wash her hands in front of me and running your hands under cold water is not washing your hands mama June!! Well she threatened to call the police on me and I told her for what cause I called you out of being NASTY. Then she threatened to quit,but them her bills that she can’t pay. Well let’s just say I decided to not eat there cause I want my food to be clean and don’t t need Germs from nasty hands with spit on my sub. This was last Thursday 04/07/22 when I reported this ,but I should have called the Health Department on them.They we’re out child by the door smoking but left the young man inside working and not once did he leave his station/job . I’m giving them a 1 star because the 2 females definitely did not wash their hands after coming back in from smoking.Cleanliness is everything when you work in any restaurant and washing your hands is part of cleanliness. Please do better and my eyes don’t lie when I’m looking right at you smelling like a smoke stack. If you 2 don’t wash your hands at work then I’m sure you’re not washing your bodies either at home..

If you’re not going to stay open until you’re posted time that is displayed on your window… then change it. I arrived twice this week, 8:43pm & 8:47pm only to find the door locked while multiple employees were inside. I love Firehouse but I will not be visiting this location ever again. SMH… very disappointed.

Cashier who took order seemed annoyed and like they didn’t want to be there. Most of the tables still had chairs stacked on them despite me going in the afternoon. The garbage can by the door had a rug laying over it because they said it was already empty. I could understand the last two issues if they were near closing but it was the afternoon on a weekday. Food was OK

Nope never again sandwiches are soggy always forgetting to take certain items off that my husband is allergic too and today he ate a sandwich at 12pm 4 hours later starting displaying food poisoning symptoms. I had a feeling his sandwich was off, unfortunately I guess I was right we will never eat nor order from there again.
