Been going to this restaurant for YEARS. I adore everything that comes on my plate. The waitresses are lovely and the atmosphere is nice. I believe people who are rating low aren’t being fully honest. Whenever someone mentions Mexican food sounding good, I always recommend El Potrero.

Authentic Mexican restaurant that is tucked away in Owosso. The good was fresh, well seasoned, and large portions. Prices were reasonable in comparison to other Mexican restaurants. The wait to be seated was a bit long (it was Mother’s Day), but once we were seated, our service was fast, and the waitress was friendly.

El Potrero is an amazing restaurant that I would recommend to anyone! I am a summer camp counselor for the Arc of Mid Michigan and today I brought in a large group of adults with developmental disabilities into El Potrero. The manager, Arturo, was kind and accommodating to their specific needs. He was extremely understanding and really provided a great environment for everyone that came in. I think that all of our campers cleaned their plates because the food was so delicious. Arturo and the staff really made for a special visit.

This place is great. I’m a native Texan for whatever that’s worth. I’ve had two different kinds of tacos here as well as the guacamole. Everything was packed with flavor. The staff is really friendly. I’ll definitely keep coming back.

Food quality and flavor has dropped substantially. Mid at best in our two recent stops at this location. Used to love going here with my parents. Got introduced to them years ago in Flint. As a family we decided to go to a late birthday dinner. Well the Google times are wrong so please go to the restaurants actually website. They technically had been closed for 15 minutes but still served our family. Which I greatly appreciate. The owner was super kind and the food was delicious. Always a pleasure to dine in at El Potrero!

Went on a Sat night. Very busy. Small restaurant, and they had one side closed. Service itself was not bad, but the wait for everything was very long. Not enough wait staff. Food was pretty good, except for cheese dip. Atmosphere was too crowded, therefore, too loud. Management seemed to care, but not enough to improve the situation. Will not return.

Issue with guy when I called about delivery as their website says they offer. I show up in person to order out soon as the guy hears my voice he heads straight back into the kitchen to talk to the cooks. Nice try big boy not messing with my food.

Had the mashed potato dip, guacamole enchiladas rancheros and shrimp enchiladas all food was delicious service was great. Only downfall was a lot of paint fumes from renovations. Looks great inside and out!
