The steak tip tavern salad was great! The large cheese pizza was not so good. The cheese was unevenly spread, and the sauce was salty. The pizza crust was very nice though. We would definitely order salad from here again. We’re probably not going to order pizza here again though.

I debated on giving Capone’s three stars but the last few experiences have just sucked – for lack of a better word. The first time we tried this place was on a whim and the pizza was EXCELLENT! And since it’s closer than our other go to spot, we kept going back. Welp it turns out that pizza may be all they are good for and honestly the last time we ordered it – even THAT was sub par. I don’t know if they have changed cooks over the last few months but wow it’s like the food gets worse every order. This time was a calzone that was mostly bread and no filling and actually slightly darker on the outside than it should have been. Also the sauce was tasteless and watery. Such a disappointment and kind of a last straw

I really like the take out side even though it’s more expensive then other pizza and sub shops but the counter and delivery staff are really awesome!!! On the other side is a full restaurant and bar which is nice for a night out. It’s a small, cozy restaurant but nice nonetheless.

Any time I am driving through this area I stop and grab the chicken cob salad to go. I can’t quite comment on any other items because I’ve been ordering this same salad over and over for so many years. I love that it is so big and not skimpy on the ingredients. I get a few meals out of it. The bacon is crispy. The chicken grilled. It is served with a freshly made pita pocket that is so fluffy and in my opinion makes the salad experience complete.
