I pulled up to the drive through in my work truck, as I have at this and many ither establishments. It’s a little bit too tall for the awnings, so I stay a little wide and step out of the truck to interact at the window. This time, I received no reply despite calling out and adjusting my position to try to notify the associate that I’m there. After pulling up to the window, the associate apologized (clearly uncomfortable with what they were told to say to me) and said “My manager said to tell you the dining room is open.” I responded, “Can I just order here? It’s one thing.” And they simply said they couldn’t serve me there, and that I had to come inside.
