We were walking around Downtown Hollywood looking for somewhere to eat and we are so happy we found this place. We stood outside reading their menu and the Chef and waitress came out and beckoned us inside to have some Caribbean-Mediterranean fusion food. I asked if he could make me a Jambalaya and he said it didn’t matter if it wasn’t on the menu, he was the Chef and he could definitely make it for me.The food was delicious and Chef Ivan, Brenda & Henry were very attentive and friendly. From the scrumptious housemade bread at the beginning of our meal to the crème brûlée we had for dessert, everything was made perfectly! The Hollywood community should come out and support this amazing restaurant! I will definitely be coming back for Ladies Night on Wednesdays and Jazz Night on Saturdays!

I came for a Friday night dinner. A restaurant looks inviting and I decided to sit inside instead of outside because of the nice ambiance.

My hairdresser recommended we try RedWood. She knows I come from London and enjoy fine food, which isn’t always easy to find locally. We went there last week to celebrate our anniversary and were not disappointed. From the moment the first food was served we could tell that there was an accomplished chef in the kitchen. The menu is interesting with some unusual dishes to try. Every course was delicious. We even ordered home made desert which was yummy too. They have live music and very friendly attentive waiting staff. They made our little dig very welcome too. We enjoyed it so much we’ve invited friends to join us there for another meal today. I highly recommend you try it.

Absolutely Wonderful food! The chef was a great guy, he makes everything himself including the bread and key lime pie. Food from chain restaurants really can not compare to food made by someone truly passionate about cooking. The wait staff was great as well. I’m looking forward to their grand opening next month, I will be there to support them.

The service is impeccable. So friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The chef himself came and made sure we were enjoying our dining experience. You can tell he cooks from his soul and that food is his passion. This place is definitely a hidden gem you don’t want to miss.

I really want to like this local restaurant. But, it is tough as happy hour it seems is at the chef’s discretion. When they first opened we did enjoy a few glasses of wine and some snacks at the bar. My wife and I stopped by on Saturday night, when we have been told multiple times that happy hour is every day and the bartender had to ask the chef if there was happy hour or not. Apparently happy hour is at the chef’s discretion. We are happy to take our money to support other local businesses rather than this one. Earn some support from the locals and this business will be successful but based on what I’ve seen this chef doesn’t care about locals. The menu is also confusing, I believe this place has an identity crisis.

We visited the Redwood last night for dinner. I had read some great reviews and wanted to give it a try. It was perfect. The space is beautiful, the service impeccable and the food was delicious. The owner/chef sent over some complimentary salmon cakes, which I was afraid to try, as I normally don’t care for salmon. They were delicious. Also his homemade bread, yum! I wanted to bring some home it was so good. I ordered the NY Strip and it was cooked to perfection and the vegetables that came with it were delicious as well. My husband had the chicken kabobs as he wasn’t very hungry and wished he would have tried the chicken curry instead. We will definitely be back.

We enjoyed everything about this restaurant-ambiance, service, hospitality, and food. The food was delicious each time we have eaten here. It really is a dining experience and for someone like me who gets pleasure from enjoying great food, I left the restaurant very happy! Ivan is living up to his chef reputation and we are very thankful! Highly recommend.
