We’ve been to Little Chef many times and love the place even more every time we leave. The family is amazing and their food has heart and soul. We came from Arizona and told about the “rough” neighborhood. It’s not rough, it’s real.

Food was great with generous portions, everyone was sweet and friendly. I got a hot turkey sandwich, which was made with real turkey, not sliced lunchmeat. Rolls were served with dinner – crust on the outside, soft and warm inside. Delicious! My only regret is that it’s an hour away from my home.

Ordered “Beef Tips N’ Mushrooms” (basically a higher quality steak stroganoff dish). Great food, great quantity. Meatball grinder was surprisingly good – you’d think they’re over extending themselves with such a big menu but it seems to be working.

Brunch at Little Chef was hands-down the best customer service I’ve ever seen. So friendly, so polite. While we were there, a transformer exploded and the power went out on the whole block. The staff was so apologetic and the owners came out and apologized personally to us for any inconvenience, but they continued to cook for us with the resources still available to them. They brought out our food and they were all still smiling and happy to be helping us, even though the kitchen was no doubt hot as can be without any cooling systems. The waitress when she came with the check apologized, saying that they couldn’t accept card payments at this time due to the outage, but said that if we didn’t have enough cash that we could venmo her and she’d be able to get it to the owner (her father).

I don’t want to leave a bad review for Little Chef. I love this place. The food is spectacular and the service is great as well. BUT… it is close to impossible to order food from them; the last several times that I’ve decided to get Little Chef for takeout, I’ve had to change my mind and go somewhere else. First of all, the hours are strange and confusing so half of the time that I go to try it, they’re closed. But I can live with that. The real issue is that I have called numerous times during NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS (more than 2+ hours before closing time as listed online and the website), but the phone seems to be disconnected. It will ring once, then read off the hours, and hang up. Just today, Thursday, I had it planned 2 days in advance to order Little Chef for dinner because it really is one of our favorite places… but I couldn’t get through to place an order and I called at 6:30!!! It’s extremely disappointing because this has happened at least 10 times over the last year. That’s 10 meals that just one customer would have bought and paid for. You’re missing out on business.

Ordered the flounder dinner tonight. Was really surprised. It tasted amazing and the guys there were so nice and welcoming. I’m from Tennessee and work down the street often. I’ll definitely be back. I had to comeback and add to my review. These guys are awesome. My BLT and Turkey Club was just amazing. I can’t say enough about this place. Super super nice people who make you feel welcome. Awesome restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. We went for lunch, this was our first visit. Olympia, who is one of the owners is an absolute delight. She makes you feel right at home. She makes the best rice pudding! I’ve now been ruined and will never be able to eat anyone else’s rice pudding. It is made with her mother’s recipe and you can taste the love.
