The food was exactly like the one in the Oakland location, staff were very nice! Though you can’t dine in, since the last time I went. The inside looks unfinished and looks empty, I think they’re going to continue build it up, otherwise it’s still very good! Just hope they’ll have seating inside soon!

Finding a nice sushi place in Hayward has been a challenge, and when I saw that Mujiri recently opened downtown, I had to give it a try. I’m happy to say it didn’t disappoint. This place rivals those nice sushi restaurants in SF. It’s a take-out out place only, and you order on their website about a week in advance. I placed an order for 2 nigri combo sets a day in advance, along with an ume maki roll and 2 cheesecake slices. The nigri combo comes with 7 non-repeated pieces of your choice from a rotating menu of fresh fish, some of which I believe comes directly from Japan, as well as a chef choice maki roll. Some of the choices include Toro (fatty bluefin tuna) and Kanpachi (Amberjack) Hotate (Hokkaido scallop) and Kurodai (black snapper). Needless to say, everything was fresh and delicious, and at $25 per set, you really can’t find a better deal! The only slight disappointment from our order was the cheesecake. Although it was good, the slice was very small, and at $6 per slice, I didn’t think it was worth it.

The new location for Mujiri is still an incomparable sushi experience in the bay area for the price. It’s just as good as the original in Oakland. Currently they are take out only, but there’s a park in walking distance you can go to eat. The Nigiri Combo was so good I forgot to take a picture of it.
