Horrible restaurant! Waste of money! I order 2 ½orders of ribs with rice and fries and got like 4 ribs and a huge tray of white rice and fries. Don’t belive me? Take a look at the pictures… I have never had an issue like this in a restaurant. No sauces, tasteless plain white rice. Oh btw CASH ONLY!!

This is an amazing hidden place in South River for grilled meats as family meals. So affordable usually all items are less than $20. Remember to bring cash as they do not take credit cards. Take out only. Caldo verde soup was yummy and homemade. A tray is always enough for a family or a day not to cook

First time trying this place and was very disappointed. Chicken lacked flavor big time and the rice was terrible……just plain steamed white rice like you get from the Chinese restaurant. I will stick to my usual places in Perth Amboy and Colonia where the chicken and rice are bursting with flavor!

First time ordering from this place. The man was rude and abrupt. He said it would be ready by 7:15pm. When I arrive to pick up my food it isn’t ready. Then I have to go to an ATM because, in this day & age, they don’t take credit/debit cards. When I get back, my food is still not ready. 45 minutes later, no food. This place is the opposite of recommended!

I move too south river,and this was my first experience with royal barbecue at first the owner treated me very nice he is very mean and nasty he changes the prices on all his food they are effing slow,only two people working and he seem too take care of his own people instead of paying customers I will never go back here again in life he lost a very good customer which is me effing place should be shutdown! 0 effing stars from me
