A Staz
Driving around Colorado Springs this evening I decided to stop by the Mexican restaurant! It was a smart choice. The atmosphere is very casual but the food is top notch! I haven’t had a fish burrito this good since I visited a small mom and pop place in Riverside CA. The food was very tasty and I thought quite authentic compared to make believe Americanized Mexican food. Recommend this place for great tasting Mexican fare!

Service was good, food was great! They serve breakfast burritos all day!!! Salsa was fresh and spicy. Chips were good. My only gripe was the watered down guacamole.

We usually do takeout. Either way, though, I’ve never ordered anything I don’t love. I eat more takeout from Monica’s than anywhere. They use real ingredients, and as one who has a lot of food allergies, I have never reacted from their food. My favorite is their Adobada tacos. No gluten, no dairy, tons of flavor, don’t even need salsa. I’ve literally NEVER had a bad experience with Monica’s. I order it for business meetings and invite friends there. Nothing bad to say about it… All good! It’s just real Mexicans making real Mexican food, no frills except a delicious line to squeeze on my tacos, and delicious flavor without bad chemicals. And an affordable side of guacamole! Great food at great prices with great service! What’s not to like?

Great authentic Mexican. Prices haven’t raised too much since COVID. Good portions and good atmosphere. Service was quick, but the employee working front counter looked up from her phone twice the entire time we were ordering.

The food was fine, i got a number 2. (Tostada and taco). I found it odd that i had to pay extra for beef on my tostada and that i got a meal for $12 that did not even come with a drink. The service was pretty average and i was handed a receipt with a pen with a section to tip as if i didn’t spend $12 on an individual meal (with no drink). Why would i tip in the drive thru after not even a 2 minute interaction with the employee? my plate consisted of about 50% shredded cheese and lettuce burying the rest of the food and the beef tasted like the beef in the 2 for $1 tacos at carls jr.

I love this place and I apologize if I seemed difficult. You guys were nice in the explanation. Anyways,I think the tacos are excellent! Love the crispy fried shell, not like you buy from the store or taco bell. I got hooked on the quesabirra tacos (soft shell), hope I spelled that right. Comes with the sauce to dip in similar to an au jus sauce but with more spices. Also came with the diced onion/cilantro mix with a lime. It’s crazy messy and I don’t recommend trying to eat it in your car but it’s sooo good that I will come back just for that. Only available fri-sun I believe. Their hot and mild sauces are excellent as well. I did try a cheese enchilada before and it was also good. The rice and beans taste pretty generic and I would recommend them only if you’re super hungry. Overall, I am a happy 3x customer. Eat here!
