We waited inside the door for someone to seat us and after about 5 min. of standing there another guest got out of his seat and told us that they were low staffed and that we should just find a table and sit down. The waiter did notice us sitting there after about another 5 min.

The doors were locked at 4:45 until the owner showed up. The food was very good, but the menu is not quite the same as the photos. Most all the pasta and the mozzarella are made in house from scratch. The mashed potatoes and veggies were both prepared very well. I loved my chicken marsala, it was very tasty. The paparedelle was excellent my friend said, as was the bolognese sauce.. We got fried mozz app, which was great. I would have preferred the olive oil and herb dipping sauce for the bread been served with the grated cheese on the side, not mixed in before tableside. The soda was flat, however. It was a nice dining experience.

A much anticipated family dinner on Thursday 9/28 turned out to be a truly disappointing experience. I generally don’t dine out at Italian restaurants, simply because Italian is my personal specialty. However, the food reviews and pictures served as an irresistible lure. The reviews and pictures were misleading. As indicated in other reviews, the bar area was boisterous and the music was loud and annoying. Simple service for water was slow, and I actually had to ask for bread, only to be told it would be brought out with the appetizers. Huh? It wasn’t even warm, so what was the holdup? I had two of my grandchildren with me and the bread would have gone a long way to holding off their hunger. Instead, 25 minutes after arrival, they get bread. Yes, service is really that slow; although I had a suspicion that was due to our servers frequent smoke breaks. Every time she returned to the table, the smell of tobacco was fresh and noticeable. The food itself was just not good. Calamari was bland and dry: it tasted like flour and not much else. My daughter’s fettuccine Alfredo was tasteless and looked boring: the chicken was as white as the sauce. My daughter even commented that the sauce tasted like it was from a jar. Ordered my two year old grandson mushroom risotto but was told it was unavailable, so we settled for mashed potatoes…swimming in a lake of butter and otherwise bland. My daughter had to actually drain the potatoes onto a plate in order for them to be even partially edible. My cannelloni was comprised of a 40/40/20 of cheese, meat sauce, and pasta, all absolutely swimming in grease. So far, four food items inedible. The only saving grace was my granddaughter’s Bolognese pappardelle; it was a huge portion and she was very happy with the flavor. The cannoli she ordered for dessert to go went into the garbage after one bite: not good. This was a terrible dining experience. Although we were only charged for my grandchildren’s food, our server telling me she begged to have our check adjusted and that I should make up the difference in a large tip just really sunk the ship. I cant say ill ever venture back tghere again and I can’t, in good faith, recommend this restaurant.

Bascettis is absolutely amazing. True Authentic Italian food that was the best I have ever eaten. The restaurant atmosphere is very cozy and I felt right at home. The owner Eddie is incredible he made several recommendations and actually cooked our meal. The staff was very courteous and kind.

I had the Zuppa De Mare that is linguine, shrimp, clams,mussels, crab and calamari in a red sauce. It was very tasty and filling. The chef makes all the dishes southern Italian the same way his family has for generations. We had the tiramisu for dessert and I particularly liked that it wasn’t too heavy on the coffee flavor. Overall a very nice experience with excellent service.

I love this place! Eddy and his kitchen team are so passionate and they put their heart in what they do. Servers very attentive and proactive. Everything was perfect, from the mozzarella appetizer to the desert tiramisù. Can’t wait to come back again. Very recommended!

I could detail the entire experience but most people don’t want to hear it lol. What I will do is provide you with the highlights. To me, the biggest problem lies in the kitchen and food.

Absolutely amazing!!! Best Italian food I’ve had in my life! Relaxing atmosphere, and authentic Italian food made by real Italians. Top notch service. The waiter was outstanding. Every detail was perfect. Even the water!!!! Will be coming back every week from now. By the way, try the eggplant parm!

OK everything about Bascetti’s is superb. The service (thanks Robert!) was superb, the Cosmopolitan (thanks bartender!) my wife had was superb, and the food we ordered and received (thanks chef!) was superb. We applaud what the new owners have done and we’ll be back soon for sure!
