Delayed overnight waiting on a load to be ready nearby and stumbled across Val’s when I went in search of the Dollar General. Had a bacon cheeseburger, onion rings and Coca Cola. Food was good, service was friendly and quick, and most of all it reminded me of my Sister’s Bar (Mary’s Outpost in Grand Prairie, TX). Finding a place that reminds you of home and/or family is always nice when you live on the road. Didn’t think to take pics this time…

I simply was passing through Redkey and I googled bars in the area. I was pleasantly surprised walking in there and everyone was very friendly. Usually when you go into small town bars people stair at you weird and don’t talk to you. But at Val’s the staff and patrons where very friendly and spoke to me immediately. I have never had any of the food yet, but I will be returning to check it out!

It’s a nice small town bar with cheap, cold beer and food that hits the spot. They also have pool tables, a jukebox that works with Touchtunes, karaoke nights and bands playing. Plus the staff is really friendly!

Nice place, my wait time to get served was far to long for no busier than they were, 15 20 minutes is to long to wait, and also to be acknowledge. Other than that I Loved the place, looks nice!
