Average to above average barbecue for Kauai compared to Texas barbecue. Pull pork was pretty decent while the brisket was cubed. Both were soaked in sauce which is not what I prefer. Added sauces were decent and spicy than the norm. It was nice that instead of a sandwich, they offered up a bed of kale greens instead of the bread. Cold slaw was had a bit of heat and the beans were pretty good.

Good BBQ and really cool shop! The owner was very nice and helpful and he even makes his own sauces so that’s pretty neat. They also have a very solid selection of beers and if you are into Disc Golf, they have the only shop on the island! Check out Uncle D’s!

Definitely the most unique shop we visited in our time on Kaua’i, and well worth the visit! We both got a Mac-n-Cheese boat. The mac was mild, a nice compliment to the rich flavors of the pork. Excellent pre-hike fuel that kept us energized for hours. There’s no seating in-store but plenty around the shopping center. A lucky find!

The only thing better than the BBQ is the personality and hospitality of the owner, Uncle D. If you find yourself on Kauai, do yourself a favor and take a look at the selection of curated discs, craft beer, and liquor. And then get a BBQ sandwich to top it all off, one that you will eat faster than you realize.

Great discs, fantastic BBQ! My wife and I visited on our honeymoon and ordered the pulled pork and brisket sandwiches respectively with a side of slaw, kale salad, and beans. Super savory and terrifically tender. I also picked up a few rare find discs while there! Dustin is an awesome guy who made for good conversation and a friendly environment. Would recommend!

Oh my goodness! The Mac and cheese brisket (boat) literally melted in my mouth! So so good. When I arrived around 14:40, they pretty much were sold out of everything and I was able to get the last one.

Hidden gem!!! If you are looking for delicious Hawaiian BBQ, this is it! Out of the way at the end of the shopping mall to avoid all the tourist. Try the baked beans as well!!
