Got a dac biet bahn mi, a Vietnamese iced coffee and a durian smoothie. All of the food was really good. The portions for the bahn mi was great for the price as of 2023. (Cost about 7ish dollars for the dac biet, price goes up for grilled meats) The place has a well kept interior. The service was good too! Would come back again c:

Falls Church area in Fairfax seems to place to go for decent Vietnamese cuisine. One of my go-to places is Bale. Sandwiches are decent with the amount offered. Bread is the typical Vietnamese baguette that won’t turn into a baseball bat the next day. You can buy the plain baguettes but recommend you freeze them for storage and let them thaw before using. They also offer other items from garden rolls to boba smoothies.

It’s been more than 5 years since I last dropped by Ba Le. It used to be my favorite Vietnamese sandwich shop when I lived in Northern VA. I remember when they used to serve soups – the Bun Rieu, Pho, etc but I’ve heard they don’t serve soups anymore. But lucky for me, thanks to Amanda P. who was so gracious to buy some banh mi (Vietnamese sandwiches) for me when she visited Northern VA. I ordered 5 sandwiches and they give you one free! I ordered the banh mi Dac Biet (special) which has pate, head cheese, ham. The sandwiches come with cilantro, cucumber, pickled carrots and radish, green peppers which you can request to have on the side. The sandwiches were delicious as I remember them.

Amazing and authentic Vietnamese food. The sandwiches are all delicious. Tons of options. Must try crispy spring rolls, shrimp spring rolls, and grilled pork spring rolls. Bubble tea bar as well!

I have been coming here for about 25 years. It’s changed a lot since then, and my visit today rekindled my love for the place. It’s so clean, well-stocked, and even better that I remember. Today’s banh mi and eggrolls were delicious.

There are other “accessory” foods available for purchase here, including a wide variety of boba, Vietnamese iced coffee, and other cold drinks, but the real reason to come to Ba Le is for their banh mi sandwiches–and they do not disappoint. I prefer the grilled pork over the red roasted pork, and I really like the shaking beef. The shredded chicken is a safe bet for kids and fussy eaters. Frequent visitors know to ask for their vegetables on the side. You’ll get more, and your bread will stay crispy until you get home. Ba Le also has a long-standing “buy 5, get 1 free” policy, so you’ll maximize your value with a group order.

Their bahn mi sandwiches are delicious and their summer rolls, which are huge, are the best in nova! Amazing sauces for the summer rolls too.

The banh mi was above average – not disappointing – and good enough for me to go back though it’s a bit of a drive. Fresh bread, vegetables, protein, etc., and all seasoned well with a nice sauce/dressing.

Hands down best sandwhich place, use to go here once a week when I lived in the area and 6 years later when I came back for a visit they lived up to my old memories, very friendly atmosphere, use to have alot of indoor seating but since covid it’s more of a grab and go spot, they have outdoor seating and about three mini tables inside now, you’re looking to spend about 8-18$ per person depending on what you get but totally worth the price
