This place is close to Millbrae BART station but it’s super unnoticeable.

Casual, authentic Malaysian restaurant that’s right by the Bart station. We stopped by for a quick bite and service was very fast. Food came out quick starting with the roti canai and chicken skewers. The roti rivals Banana Island’s roti with a thicker but smaller dough. The chicken skewers were nice and juicy and the curry sauce was fantastic.

I used to go to IPOH with large groups, but haven’t been able to since moving to the city. So when there’s a chance to be in the Millbrae area, we always go here.

My favorite Malaysian restaurant! Used to go here a few times a month, but no longer work in the area. Still crave their food and sometimes willingly make the 30 minute drive just to eat here.

We went here on our way to airport. The restaurant is located at the corner of El Camino Real & Linden Ave – very close to Milbrae station. Parking is limited so we did street parking. We arrived at around 6:30 pm and were seated immediately. By the time we left the restaurant around 7:30pm, more people came and there was a short line.

So happens, my Mom was born in Ipoh, Malaysia and through her, we’ve become familiar with Malaysian cuisine.

Ipoh Garden is right down the street from Millbrae’s Caltrain/BART station. A great option if you don’t want to deal with the car and people traffic for the restaurants across the street.
