The food was fresh and delicious. My waitress brought me my drink and never returned to my table again. I did not get one refill. Every time I come to this restaurant I have tipped at least $2- $3. Sometimes more if the service is outstanding. I was extremely disappointed to see that a 10% tip had already been added to my bill. Even though the waitress went out of her way to avoid my table. I would have tipped her more then $1.50 because I believe in tipping. I asked the cashier if that was the policy for everyone. She explained that they only do it for people they do not think will tip. She stated that they don’t do it for people who come there often and who always tip. This practice is extremely discriminatory and distasteful. I wondered why there were only a couple people there tonight. Now, I know why! Tipping is not an obligation. More often than not people will tip if they are receiving good service. I hope that $1.50 tip was worth it because you will not be receiving any more of my money.

Great selection. Very very clean. Fruit was fresh too. Any complaints about tipping comes from people who have never worked in the service industry and are cheap. If you cannot afford to tip don’t eat out. Period.

Just moved to the area and have been trying to find a good Chinese buffet…. Thankfully I’ve read the reviews before taking my family to eat there… It’s actually pretty unsettling that there’s 20+ reviews about the same waitress and same issue with the tips…. If that’s how they operate then I’m gonna try to find something in Clayton or Raleigh or Wendell…I wanted to leave this review to personally thank everyone for taking the time to leave a review and save me the drama

This is my second time coming here and I am tired of them asking for a tip. The first time was a couple of months ago and the owner even got mad for me complaining over the certain employee. Like what if I did not like the way she worked or you know. Today I come here and then we asked for change to give her a tip and the lady as she gave us the change she asked for the tip. We told her that we will give it to her at the counter while we are paying. The person paying left her a $5 tip. When we were paying we wanted to pay part cash and part card. She saw that only $5 was left for tip she threw the money on the counter and got really mad. Then I told her, “there’s no reason to get mad.” There are people who leave nothing for tip even when the server did an amazing job. They really need to get better employees and tell them to be appreciative of any amount they get from a tip.

I’ve had a great experience everytime I’ve picked up food from here. Food is always hot and fresh. Once I went inside with my two toddlers and the lady helped me carry my food back out to the car. Best Chinese in Zebulon in my opinion!

I’ve been going here for many years, and the food is decent for a small town Chinese buffet. The reason for my lower rating is the waiter. there’s one individual that sometimes is what I consider rude to customers the last time a friend of mine and I were in the restaurant he was paying, and he chose not to leave a tip. At the register the wait staff Asked, was he leaving a tip and he said no she asked why he said that you were rude and she argued a bit with him and said next time I just won’t wait on you. Today when I go into the restaurant, I eat the same wait staff was much more attentive and did a job well done. In my opinion she deserved a tip. However, when she brought me the bill, she hand me the bill and said your tip has already been added. I do not appreciate someone assuming that I am going to leave them a tip and tips are to ensure good service. I agree in tipping, however, if the service is poor, I do not agree with that and adding a tip to my bill is not appropriate.

They chase people around the restaurant asking for a tip and if you give under 20 dollars they throw a fit. This place should really be looked at by better business bureau. They don’t tip in Asia so maybe that’s why they came here to rob the stupid Americans.

While this is my go-to place for a chicken and broccoli with white sauce OR shrimp and broccoli with white sauce, I never sit inside. I always order my food over the phone and just pick it up! This means I really can’t tell you what the sit-down service is like. I can, however, tell you that the food is good! They’re pretty reasonably priced! They’re friendly enough (at least the lady at the counter usually is)! I have heard that doing the buffet is not quite as pleasant of an experience as my to-go ordering process is! I’ve never sat down to actually test the waters on this so, I can’t tell you for sure! I can say this, I have called other places to order the Shrimp and Broccoli or Chicken and Broccoli with White Sauce and they sounded as if I was speaking in Alien language , “We no have”,…which means they don’t have it on their menu…So, not every restaurant will have “Chicken & Broccoli or Shrimp & Broccoli w/White Sauce”! It’s like the one you get normal (with soy sauce, just a different sauce)…no soy sauce and it tastes absolutely amazing!

I had a positive experience here. The staff was nice and accommodating. The food was of good quality. It was a nice buffet. Other reviews say otherwise but I guess it depends on what time you go like any other place. 🙂

This is a nice buffet. The interior is elegant and has a romantic vibe to it. Although the buffet is small, the quality of the food was great. One of my favorite buffets that is near me. They do charge if you waste food (like a pound). The hosts/servers are courteous.
