The service was amazing and the atmosphere was old school, but the pizza and calzone was not great.

Some of these reviews are way too harsh but what would you expect from pizza experts. I don’t live in Princeton I visit and I try to support mom and Pop pizza joints. I spend most of my money on pizza here. Not Chicago Tavern pizza but I haven’t found a better pizza in the Princeton area. I like their sauce slightly sweet. If they could figure out how to make the crust a bit crisper it wouldn’t hurt them. I prefer getting served by the younger waitstaff versus the lady that owns this place.

The pizza is good but watch out for the ingredients they use in thier pizza because objects may inadvertently get placed in your pizza. My grandson bit into a pepperoni pizza from pizza Cellar and pulled out a bread tie. The funny part is that the lady who took the call from our daughter in law about the bread tie in the pizza accused my daughter in law of placing the bread tie in the pizza herself to get her money back. My daughter in law didn’t pay for the pizza. Johanna and I did because we have the greatest daughter in law, son, and grand kids in the world. Who make us proud grandparents. I am not surprised by the accusation from the pizza Cellar because this place supported the President of Citizens First National Bank and if you google it you can see how that all turned out.

Used to love going here. Just got the Italian beef, garlic bread with cheese and popcorn chicken and couldn’t have been more disappointed. The Italian beef was so dry, the garlic bread with cheese had no cheese on it, just a huge puddle melted underneath, and the popcorn chicken has been changed, it now resembles the frozen stuff from the grocery store. The cheese sauce I loved has also been changed to a nacho cheese sauce. If it isn’t broke don’t fix it! Not sure why they changed these things but I would change them back asap. Also while picking up my order I was graced with a waitress walking out of the kitchen saying “They said their pizza was too greasy, like whatever”, which brings me to not want to mention my horrible experience to them since it would be handled similar I’m sure. Don’t think I will be returning.

Really pains me to write a post like this when we all take such pride in our community… tonight we went out to eat at Pizza Cellar.. had a family member come in from out of town and wanted to have a little family dinner.. had 2 members waiting on myself and my son to get there for about 20 mins.. I personally took a little longer to order not knowing what I wanted but I ordered a beer and was polite ordered when I was ready… an hour or so goes by our food comes out at multiple different times… it’s all cold barely luke warm cheese not melted.. we mentioned it to the waitress she apologized said they’d remake it.. okay cool that’s fine… she comes back out 5 mins later with it all… ummm okay all of this meal was prepared in 5 mins?? Where is the fresh oil on the fried products? Why can I break a mozzarella stick with my fingers ?? Bc the cheese is cold that’s why.. all these items were “warmed” up not REMADE like they said they would be.. if our entire meal was brought out in 5 mins after complaining of it being cold.. why did It take over an hour the 1st time?? After telling the waitress idk if you didn’t put the order in or who’s fault it may be it’s unacceptable and we’re not paying for a “warmed up meal” that took over an hour to get.. the supposed “owner” came out and was absolutely rude and when she didn’t like what I had to say she told us to leave after blaming us for taking a long time to order… that’s okay we should’ve never brought business to your establishment in the 1st place.. I left money for my beer and left… I’m sorry maybe someone was having a bad day but after working a 12hr shift wanting to enjoy a meal with my family from out of town this just was unacceptable and we won’t be returning

On Thursday, Sept. 22 we had a pizza which was very greasy n crust was burnt. We ordered lasagna to take home and it was very salty and dry. You couldn’t even pick out the noodles it was so dry..worst lasagna we ever tried..wasn’t edible..we were so disappointed to say the least..we were there about 7 p.m…
