I do not normally leave a bad review. We spent quite a bit of time on the road and just needed to feed the kids. This spot has the right idea yes but really lacked quality. Our pizzas were just plain awful. I understand the locals really like this spot from reading the other reviews but we did not have a good experience. The olives on my pizza were rancid. I ate one piece because I am not picky but the smell of rotten food made me turn away from it. The pizzas were raw and just poor quality. Choose another spot for your family. I’m sorry. Maybe I should have spoken to a staff member but we were just ready to get home.

Went in for lunch today and got the $5 lunch deal which includes an EXTRA large piece of pizza and a soft drink. It was delicious and was a heck of a deal for the price. The slice of pizza took up the whole plate. Also has great service. Would 100% recommend

Pre-cooked pasta that was mush. Meats and veggies non-existent in pasta (tiny granules of sausage etc). Had to get up and collect our own drinks, paper plates, plastic cutlery…yet when ordering at the register the machine request you leave a tip!! Staff were friendly but the overall experience was poor.

Tried the pizza buffet tonight our first time at AJ’s. I did not care for the pizza at all the salad bar for what it was was okay. I thought the place was dirty the window seals could be cleaned of all the bugs the napkin holders are disgustingly dirty. that being said I am interested in trying their wings and maybe a sub before I make a final judgment on the place as a whole

I drove here with a friend who previously lived in Manistee. He was guiding me around and had me arrive here as Big Als wasn’t open, and so this was his second go-to place regarding a pizza eatery. We opted to have the buffet, which for me, was the first to have a pizza place actually offer and have (at all) a buffet. So that I can express was an actual first-time experience. As they say, there is invariably a first for everything, and this undoubtedly was that. I haven’t had a “first” in encountering anything in a significantly long time so that frankly stood out for me. That all declared, the pizza was good and filling. It was a pleasant and quaint establishment. It was a satisfactory experience overall.

BEST pizza in town!!! Anyone can throw a pizza together, (and Manistee definitely has MORE than its fair share of pizza joints)… But THIS is the one that could put pizza in it’s rightful place!!! Order a chicken, Bacon, Ranch pizza. You will not be sorry! Absolutely delish. And the people are friendly, amazing and helpful. They do a wonderful job here!

This was the worst food I’ve ever had served to me. The dough was rubbery and the top looked like it was cooked with a blow touch. Toppings were non existent or had turned to ash. I wouldn’t serve this to my dog.

Sub was great. Pizza was not cooked all the way the dough was still raw, cheese was barely melted. Didnt get the flavored crust, it reminded us of a half baked pizza.. We put it in the air fryer and it was better. I would try them again. The pizza sauce was good. Staff was friendly.

Ok…so this time we got the buffalo chicken stromboli and chicken alfredo…. Wow! A lot of food and the taste is out of this world! Both dishes exceeded our expectations and we will be back! If you are in Manistee you have got to try out their dishes!
