First and last time here. That is the most pathetic excuse for fried rice I’ve ever seen or tasted. Half of the “add spicy” boneless spare ribs were bland and dry and the half at the bottom were covered in some sickeningly sweet sauce that I’ve never had (and I’ve had a lot of Chinese takeout).

Let’s start with this…when I moved to the south, I was told that there is “NO GOOD CHINESE FOOD, ANYWHERE”. So, today, we reluctantly tried Mr. Sze because it’s really close. All in all, it wasn’t terrible. I placed the order, it took about 20 minutes, no shock there. Walked in to the business and ok, it’s clean, fairly welcoming, off to a good start. The girl at the counter was friendly(ish). I took my order to the car and immediately cracked into the Crab Rangoons…..they were eh, ok. Honestly, there could be more filling and less ragoon. Very light on the cream cheese flavor. When I got home, I was hesitant to see my wife’s reaction to her veggie lo mein…..I watched, and she finally looked up ……..with a smile! Phew, I was out of the woods! The veggie low mein was good and the pork Lo Mein was good!!! Ok, we will give it a second chance! Mr. SZE has very mixed reviews but I would give this place a solid 4 stars after my first visit. I will update either way after our next trip in.

Haven’t had a bad meal from Mr Sze’s. I order once or twice every couple of months and haven’t been disappointed. I often order their egg drop and wonton soups. They’re always hot and very tasty. And the Mala chicken is very good as well, says on the menu it’s hot but every order I’ve had I’ve been able to eat (I do not like overly spicy hot foods.) Their menu states they will alter the spicy to your likes, so if you like super spicy let them know. Everyone I’ve encountered who works there are all very pleasant.
