Awesome meal. Loved pretty much everything we had. Cocktails were really fun and inventive. The maize dulce, which featured Nixta Licor de Elote (a Mexican corn liqueur) was cool. We tried both the soups. Clam chowder was pretty amazing. Tomato basil bisque was like a really nice pizza sauce. I should probably have ordered the bread platter to pair with it instead of the fried fontina (which was basically really nice cheese sticks). I enjoyed the trout huitlacoche, although I would have liked more of the beurre blanc sauce. The oyster mushroom rigatoni was really rich and herbaceous. Should have saved room for dessert – the peanut butter bombe sounded out of this world.

Honestly, I’m pretty disappointed with my experience here. I had been so excited to come here and have had it as one of the places I wanted to try for a special occasion for a few years. We came for our anniversary dinner and our service was acceptable but I was pretty disappointed with the food quality for the price associated. I don’t mind spending good money for good food… but $44 for a small steak served on what tasted like frozen fries from the grocery store was pretty unfortunate. The cheese board had decent flavor but wasn’t really worth the cost. I’ve been local to the area for many years and can definitely say there is much better quality food in this town with a lower price tag. I was hoping I would plan to return someday, but that seems like it won’t be the case.

We are staying at the Elizabeth hotel and had dinner here last night. It was really, really good. I had the trout with onion palenta, and my wife had the shrimp and grits. Both dishes were excellent. Really glad we choose to have dinner here! We also had some good drinks – the pineapple apple sour and a non-alcoholic drink with grapefruit. Both were excellent!

Delicious food is a really classy environment. What a huge bonus to staying at the Elizabeth hotel! The crepes were amazing, the pancakes were huge and the tea was high quality leaves from the Lucky Teahouse down the street.

Loved everything about this restaurant. Atmosphere, food, and service. The trifecta. Kat was our server and she made sure to take the extra time to explain everything about the restaurant cause I ask lots of questions. She never rushed us and made sure everything was to our liking. Decent wine selection by the glass. Food was cooked to perfection. Ordered Hen of the Forest appetizer. Maitaki mushrooms, battered and fried, served with an amazing sauce. The bread board served with a compound butter was to die for.

Where to begin….. amazing meal! We got fantastic bloody Mary’s followed by the beets and greens salad with the flank steak and my boyfriend got chicken and waffles which were fantastic! He also got a green goddess salad with the green goddess dressing and holy cow was the dressing amazing! I got a side Belgium waffle with the Pearl sugar soooo good! I appreciate the homemade ingredients and the ambience of sitting at the bar. Don’t miss this place in town while the other places have waits. Fantastic meal look forward to coming back! Don’t have pics cause I ate it to fast lol

I LOVE the Emporium and the Magic Rat – the food is always great, the drinks are delicious, and I always have great service here. My favorite bartender/server is Tony. Every time I go in, he suggests new drinks and food, and is always so kind and helpful. Not only does he suggest things from the menu that he knows I’ll like, he’s an overall pleasant person to be around. The establishment and food are great, but I keep coming back because of Tony. If you pop in, make sure to get him to help ya out! 🙂

We decided to drive to Fort Collins to check out the new Emporium Kitchen, Wine Market and Hotel and we’re glad we did. We had a wonderful experience. We really enjoyed the layout and market inside of the restaurant. The hotel that’s attached to it is also very nice. We didn’t spend the night this time but we’re looking forward to going back so we can.

Went here for a birthday brunch celebration on Saturday. The staff and atmosphere was very nice. The food was amazing and they were very thoughtful and kind to me even though my table of friends was a little rambunctious. Coffee was also beautiful and delicious and is also sold to go for people looking for a cup on their foco walks. Thank you for everything.

Dinner with friends. Great service although they were scrambling due to less service on hand. It’s tough these days. My $44 steak was overcooked and due to staff issues I was hesitant to ask it be redone.
