Finally got to eat at the Amherst Diner. The food is good. Come hungry the portions are large! The prices are reasonable. Biscuits and gravy are satisfying; but, the home fries are the best! Restaurant is cozy. The staff is friendly.

Blast from the past decor, and great diner food (which we don’t have much of in the area). Menu is basic foods but packed with options. Breakfast all day is a plus! Meats are from a local butcher, the biscuits and gravey are both home made, and people are friendly. Limited seating but if you can get a spot (or go for a late breakfast) it is worth it! Only critique is that it didn’t have much seasoning, but overall good and will return!

Sometimes I regret giving good reviews bc then I can’t get a seat but this one is long overdue.

Nice, quaint diner. The food, however, is elementary school quality in dire need of freshness and value. Portions are bleak. Food quality is proportional to prison food with the inflated prices. We had 4 couples order food after us who received their food before us. Our server did not appear apologetic whatsoever for the almost 40-minute wait time for a simple salad and sandwich order. When our order did arrive, the salad was bland and plain: chopped iceberg lettuce with 5 chicken straps and a packet of dressing and crackers. My steak sandwich consisted of sliced iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, and 6 thin steak stips with the consistency of a Goodyear tire after a blowout. This was collected in a hot dog bun, yes a hot dog bun, cut in half with fries. That sandwich was over $12 of disappointment. Hint: Nostalgic food is triflingly bad.

Nice old dinerin Winchester ⁰from the 40s with 2025 pricing . 3 egg omelet, chef salad with tuna and the sideof bacon was almost $40. kind of hard to believe that would cost that much you’d get a better deal at Denny’s. the service was okay but they were confused about switching the ham from the chef salad to a lump of tuna. George Jetson pricing with a 1940s truckstop ambience.
