Thanks to the dedication and talents of the special people like Robert Cherry Evans (Georgia Bob’s grandfather who directed the famous cookings), barbecue was the key celebration at the festivals. We take pride in serving Georgia Bob’s original Brunswick Stew recipe (though slightly altered) and delicious barbecue introduced at the festivals to our customers today. We are one of many barbecue restaurants around the globe but unlike most we still serve barbecue in that true southern tradition.

Came here for lunch with some co-workers. Was not too busy. Staff was friendly and our food came quick. Seemed pretty clean overall. The food was pretty tasty. Certainly one of the better BBQ places I have been and would come back if I am back in town.

Was there on 7-19-2023 at 2:30pm. Wife had pulled pork which she said was good, her side salad she had to return and get cole slaw because lettuce was brown around the edges. I had brisket which was chewy except for 1 slice. The soda tasted funny, not a clean taste. That was our experience.

Okay, we’d never been to Georgia Bobs,, but will now have to make it a stop in our annual Perry, GA trip! The homemade seasoned pork skins are worth it alone! Loved the BBQ salad with pulled pork, and got a side of sweet potato tots to round out the meal. Amazing y’all…stop in and give it a try!

This is an order at the counter style ordering which is fine because they do bring your food to the table. But it’s a very casual place, including plastic cutlery. The fountain drinks were very limited so we opted for a bottled soda. My husband ordered two meat combo – pulled pork, ribs, slaw (absolutely no flavor or maybe even a little old) beans, bread (not toasted or buttered) and I had a sliced turkey salad (kens ranch dressing) and mine was fine but I’ve definitely had better bbq salads. The bbq bottles on the table felt sticky and needed wiping down along with the s&p shakers. Dead flies were on the windowsill and a few flying around while we ate. Overall not the worst place we’ve tried but I’d definitely opt for another option if you’re undecided.

I went to the drive in and asked if the Brunswick stew was chunky or ground up. I love it the old fashioned farm table way, chunky. The lady looked at me like I was crazy for asking. We all have preferred styles.

On our way home we discovered this resturaunt. By far one of the best BBQ I have had in a long time. This place is now our family pit stop every time go back home. The ribs fall of the bone and the smoked chicken is AMAZING!!!

Ribs were small and dry. Mac n cheese was plain and the smoked sausage tasted like a beanie weenie. The only thing that was good was the potato salad. Overall it was very expensive that costed close to $20. I will not go back or recommend this place.

Hands down our fav bbq in Georgia. I grew up eating Georgia Bobs and I have not found anything close to it. Love their spicy sauce on the bbq sandwich with fried okra!
