I went out of my way to come here because it’s a throwback from a time gone by. This is not a fast food chain. It’s a mom and pop place on the side of the road and the food is absolutely OUTSTANDING, the portions are large. Best burger I’ve had in a long, long time and they piled on the fries. The staff is super friendly and the ambience is 100%!

I have been telling myself to remember to go here, since I was a young girl. I think possibly this place has been around as long as I have, maybe even longer!!! I am ashamed, I just never think of it. I finally remembered & went! I am SO sad I didn’t go sooner, because the place is adorable, the food was mouth wateringly awesome, the Waitress was beyond sweet, the Cook was so friendly & personable & the food portions were huge! My SIL ordered Chicken strips & Onion Rings & she let me try a Ring. That was the freshest Onion Ring I have ever had from the West Coast to the East Coast & back. Not at all greasy either. When I bit into it, the entire onion didn’t slide out either, which always displeases me & happens at every single other place I have tried them. My bite was crunchy, sweet, oniony & perfect! I savored every bite of that Onion Ring, let me tell ya! Her Chicken Strips were the size of boats, no joke, the biggest thickest Chicken strips I have ever seen. She said they were the best she’d ever had as well & she is a total Chicken Strip connoisseur! I ordered the Junior Cheese Burger with non crispy Fries. I always ask for my Fries that way. Before our order came, our waitress brought 3 big squeeze bottles over, 1 ranch, 1 thousand island & 1 ketchup. That was cool. When the waitress brought our food over, which didn’t take long at all, considering that they were quite busy with obvious regular customers; she apologized profusely stating they put 2 of the 1/6 lb patties on my Cheeseburger instead of just one patty, because their patty supplier brought them the wrong patties. How cute was that? My Junior Cheeseburger was absolute perfection, with all the trimmings! The patties were super delish, no weird gristle or grease. My Fries were done just the way I asked for them to be. The food, atmosphere & folks here are so nice & the food so great, that I have been talking about it since. I tried the Ranch & the Fry Sauce (1000 Island) & both were beyond yummy. I want to go back & try everything on the menu, but my waistline would hate me. I plan to go once or twice a month, until I get to try everything. Oh & I ordered a bowl of Potato Cheese Soup to go & WOWWWWWWW it was fantastic! I wish I had have been going here all along over the years! Thank you Snack Shack for existing! You are wonderful.

I’ve been going to this place for over 15 years. It used to be the best burgers, fries and diner food in town. Their burgers now appear to be frozen premade patties. The bacon isn’t crispy and crunchy like it used to be. Not enough sauce. I asked what their potato salad was like and the response was, “what do you mean? It’s potato salad,” when in reality it is NOT normal potato salad. It’s edible and okay, but not a standout anymore. For the pricing, it’s also just so so. It used to be good compared to anywhere at any price. Not so much anymore. Pretty bland and flavorless bacon cheeseburgers. The curly fries were so crunchy they were shells of fries that no longer had potato content inside.

Craving a burger and giant burger was closed so I gave this place a go for take out. I will say the lady taking orders was so so so nice and good at her job, the assumed owner who gave me a refund was very sweet also. My issue is not with them at all. I have worked restaurants for 8 years so I was not sure why the cook sent out the burger I ordered. It was very burnt, to the point the cheese was charred black and just fell off whenever I touched it. I would’ve much rather preferred to be told “hey he accidentally burnt it, it’s just gonna be an extra moment for it to be remade” than to have opened up the container to see this. It honestly killed my appetite. I would’ve gave them a shot a remake, but I had to get to work and didn’t have time. The time it took me to drive the few blocks home, discover this, come back for a refund and then drive to work.. if the cook had just admitted it was burned and remade it I could’ve enjoyed the burger I was craving before work. I tried to at least pay for my soda, Plus I wanted to leave a tip for the lady who tried to make it right. They said to not worry about it.

Years ago I’d come here to enjoy a jumbo burger at least once a week. I always had good conversations with people, from all over state, who would travel several hours just to eat here. Last year I went in and ordered a jumbo cheese burger with coleslaw. I asked if the cook could please finely shred some lettuce like they used to and he replied with “I’m too tired, I don’t want to”. I said ok then and waited for my order. When I received my order I immediately noticed the jumbo burger was half the size it used to be, with a Costco premade patty. The coleslaw was a bowl of mayonnaise with a few tiny bits of cabbage. I thought I was being pranked. The bun used to be twice the size with a handmade patty to match.

Went to this Little Burger Place for the First time a few days ago, passed by it hundreds of times but never stopped They have lots of burgers to choose from, plus they have other food items however I wanted a local burger on national burger day so thats all I really looked at. The staff is very friendly and talkative. I was told that the place had been around since the 1950’s I ordered the Special The Big Burger with Fries and a Drink, was an excellent burger with Fresh Thick slices tomatos, lettuce and onions and just the right amount of condiments, the fries were crinkle cut. Very Tasty and filling Its worth visiting the Little Unique Burger and Other Food Place

We looked up great BBQ on Google and it brought us here! Unfortunately BBQ is no longer on the menu, so we tried the hamburgers (their specialty), and they were GREAT.

Snack shack is a Eugene/Springfield institution. We loved it. My son is 44 and we used to go there when he was little. Except, yesterday I got the BBQ Chicken Dinner. I love the skin, but this time the skin was so thick I couldn’t pull it off the chicken, let alone eat it. I’m so sorry that it was this way because I’ve always loved going here.

I’m wondering if they have a new owner. I’ve been going here for 10 to 15 years and it was always a very dependable meal. I got my staple the club sandwich and it was unrecognizable didn’t even have bread on the bottom. It was like I made it at home. Does anybody know if these are new owners and this is the new norm?
