Our first time there and what a wonderful experience. Hwy 55 doesn’t just look like your classic diner, it embodies all the principles of one! From the moment we walked in the door we had delightful greetings with friendly smiles. Then we were fortunate enough to be seated at one of Megan’s tables. What a wonderful person she is, so patient with all the kids, really excited when she shared it was our first time, and just an absolute sweetheart. This is definitely a first of many meals there!

I am a former restaurant owner. It was very dirty. The floor was filthy. Table was sticky napkin holders were nasty. Looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in months. Overall needs a deep clean. I would hate too see the kitchen area. Too many staff sitting around doing nothing whatsoever .

As of late,whenever I go to this location, they’re either closed or in the process of closing regardless of of the business hours posting by the front door. Walked in on saturday at 5:00 pm. The open sign was lit on the window. I thought, good maybe they’re open. No. Instead the young lady at the grill said they were closed. I asked that since I was there could she make 2 burgers.She sad no. She said she had cleaner on the grill.Not sure if she was stating the truth or not . 2 customers were leaving as I walked in. This has happened 3 times over the last 4 months. Saturdays business hrs said they were open til 10 pm. Very disappointed in the way this location is being operated. They seem to pick and choose when they want to be open. Based on that,this store should probably just go ahead and shut down for good so that another business that is more consistant can operate in this spot.

These people have a sign begging for 5 star reviews in order to gain 10% off. I’d rather be honest and tell you all just how awful this place was. The server spoke so so silently, and tried her best to be kind. But we waited over 50 mins for our food, with orders received incorrectly. The bathrooms are disgusting. I watched as my salad sat out for 30 mins with flies landing on it. I still somehow ended up getting my food last out of our group. My spouse said the jalapeños tasted like they were pickled in nuclear waste. This is like the fifth location we have tried, never have they ever actually had ice cream available and never have I ever left a good review

On July 28, 2023, Don and I went to Hwy 55 for a second time, the first time we were quite impressed with our waitress and food. We decided to go back. We had a coupon for a buy one and get one free milk shake. Hurrah, sounded good on a HOT day . They have a variety of 30 plus milkshakes, how exciting and what flavor should we get? We looked over the flavors and decided. Our waitress came and we told her what we wanted and she said, “Oh, I’m sorry we are out of ice cream today” . WHAT!!! Oh no,- okay , disappointed, so we ordered something else.

So was in here for dinner (3/31/2022) and the staff were quite bubbly and the cooks were on point. The fries were hot an crispy and not over done.The chick-o-philly was filled perfectly wit just the right amount of cheese throughout. Well done to the cooks and staff.
